Blogger’s Choice: Heather and Megan

Heather and Megan, the crafty sisters behind the blog Quilt Story, have teamed up with Fat Quarter Shop to bring you an exclusive Blogger’s Choice Bundle. The team chose 12 of their favorite prints and three coordinating Bella Solids from the shop, and the blogger approved bundle is available to you!

Q: What will you be making with your Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundle?
A:Megan is making some cute totes for our niece who is going off to college. She has a few more small gifts she plans to make with the bundle as well. I (Heather) plan to make some vibrant house blocks with these prints and I would love to make a quilt for one of my four daughters for Christmas.

Q: What quilt project are you currently working on?
A:Megan is finishing up a granny squares quilt for the little tiny baby girl in her tummy, it is turning out really sweet! I am working on a quilt for Megan’s baby girl. I can’t give away too much to Megan, but it involves some fun paper piecing blocks. Cross your fingers the quilt turns out as cute as it is in my head!

Hot Seat:
1. jelly roll or layer cake
2. planned or scrappy
3. prints or solids

Leave a comment on this post choosing one of each pair you think Heather and Megan would have selected. Answer correctly and you will have a chance to win one of their Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundles.
You have exactly one week from this post till the contest closes.

Good Luck!

  1. I love the print with the houses you used in your bags. I have searched all over, looking for it. Will you point me towards it? I'm making a quilt to be auctioned off with the money going to a local homeless shelter

  2. I am hoping it is layer cake, planned, and prints. Thanks for the giveaway.

  3. This selection of fabrics looks so yummy. Would love to have this to work with. I am going to choose Layer Cake, Planned and Prints.

  4. I think Megan will use jellyroll, planned and solids for her baby girl. I think Heather and her paper piecing will use layer cake, scrappy and prints for the baby blocks. what fun, scarlette

  5. Layer cake for the new baby's birthday.. scrappy ro encourage the baby to look at every block in the pretty baby quilt and solids to perk up the contrast & colors

  6. Je tente ma chance! Mais je suis perdue pour l'heure, chez nous en Belgique, nous sommes déjà le 21 août et il est 17h10!

  7. I would guess:
    Jelly Roll
    Scrappy
    Prints
If I was paper-piecing, I'd rather go strips because I use Peggy Martin's Quick Strip Paper-Piecing Method–it's great!
    Good luck–sounds fun–really cute!
    Thank you!

  8. I think jelly roll that is planned & in solid colors. My reasoning is that Autumn is just around the corner & time to move from pretty summer prints to the solid colors of the fall leaves.

  9. Well, looking at the stack I'd had to say Heather and Megan would choose:
    Layer Cake
    Planned
    Prints
But I'm sure they'd prefer a fat quarter tower, Pinks for baby girl, and 'Happy' above all else.
