Blogger’s Choice Feature: Rita Hodge - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

Blogger’s Choice Feature: Rita Hodge

Rita Hodge of Red Pepper Quilts is a breath of fresh air! Her quilts often have a bright, modern feel, but frequently incorporate charming, retro prints. Her blogger’s choice bundle is no exception! Rita chose 12 prints and 3 solids from our shop to build her own Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundle, and lucky for you, we are giving one away!

Q: What will you be making with your Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundle?
A:I am planning on making a patchwork pillow cover with my blogger bundle; like quilts you can’t have too many pillows!

Q: What quilt project are you currently working on?
A:I am currently working on several projects including paper pieced Kaleidoscope blocks and patchwork piecing flying geese units. These two I am planning to combine into one quilt. Maybe like a medallion quilt. I don’t tend to do a lot of planning, instead I like to just allow my creativity to flow and take direction from what I am enjoying working on.

Hot Seat:
1. jelly roll or layer cake
2. planned or scrappy
3. prints or solids

Leave a comment on this post choosing one of each pair you think Rita would have selected. Answer correctly and you will have a chance to win one of her Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundles! Contest closes Friday 6/28/2013. Good luck!

  10. Well I read that she wants to make a pillow, so that part is planned, but I would say scrappy, jellyroll, and prints. Her Blogger's Choice picks are absolutely adorable, my 10 year old granddaughter would love a quilt from those fabrics…of course at the rate I quilt, she'll be 18 by the time I finish.

  19. I love it when RPQ pops up in different spots on the net. It is one of my absolute favorite sites to read. I visit it often! Thank you for all your inspiration, Rita! I'm going to guess jelly roll, planned, and print.

  20. I think she'd choose the jelly roll, as the patterns she likes are made of very small pieces. She also obviously likes scrappy quilts (she's a free spirit quilter!) and prints. I love her stye! Thanks for the chance to win.
