  1. Had it in my head to make a red mug rug last night – only TWO red fabrics in my entire stash! NOW I am hankering after red!

  2. I'm really digging mustard right now – the color 🙂 Its just such a lovely warm fall color – has me ready for sweaters, walks in the park, and pumpkins… lots of pumpkins 🙂

  3. Blue is my favorite color, but put some yellow with it and wow, pop in some red and so on, you get lots of scrap color love. Thanks for the giveaway. Must get the book.

  4. Looking at my stash, my favorite color is red. But really, I am so into yellow – we paint at least one room yellow in each house, and I am about to paint some thrift store furniture mustard. Not sure why I don't have more yellow fabric!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. For this fall and winter I'm really loving deep purple (like in the Clippings Loulouthi print). It's rich and feminine at the same time. Love it!

  6. Red is the color I'm into right now. It just speaks to me of the fall and winter seasons and it's such a warm and rich color. Also, it's a Honda color…my hubby races motocross!!

  7. My color of choice is RED. In the fall it is the color of the leaves I love so much, then at Christmas well tadaa it still fits! In the winter all winter long it is winter berries, in spring it comes to spring blooms and red ones at that, February is Valentines, Red again!! it just continues along again and again!!

  8. I'm loving purple right now, well as always. It's been my fav for YEARS! thanks for the giveaway.

  9. I've always been a little shy of red, I think because it's so bold. I'm working on embracing it! I'm really working with a lot of blues lately since I found out I'm having a boy.

  10. I cannot stop loving yellow. I don't wear it, as it doesn't suit me, but pretty much everything I want to buy for my house or for sewing is yellow right now. I love it goldeny or orangey, although not so much greenish.

  11. I just pulled out all of my oranges to make some pumpkin blocks and I'm really liking what is in my stash. I'm not even sure where they all came from! I'm going to leave them out and try to use them in a second project.

  12. Lately I'm on a yellow/gray kick. But now I see myself leaning toward a pink/orange kick. I love changing my mind!

  13. I'm totally in love with all the colours of autumn right now (apologies for the English) but definitely the reddy browns. Thank you for the opportunity to win 🙂

  14. After seeing your photo mosaic I am totally digging red right now. Yesterday I was loving pink. Guess I am easily enticed by visuals…

  15. My favorite color is green because it's vibrant and yet can still be pretty neutral. But right now, I really like orange…and gray. Orange is so happy and adds just a pop of color to everything it touches. Gray is my new favorite neutral. It's calming and really accents any color it's near. Good, happy, cooperative colors are on my list. 🙂

  16. I'm in love right know with the color(according to my Kona cotton card) called Cerise. It literally makes my mouth water!

  17. Red. I have been stitching up some projects using the reds in my scraps and I am loving it! Always makes me happy when I'm working with this colour. LOVE it!!!

  18. I am really digging orange. I feel as though this is a color that is disliked by a lot of people as it is bright. I think it pairs amazingly with dark colors to add a pop to what ever you are making or wearing. I have a pair of orange pants that I just adore but other people cringe at.

  19. I've never been a big fan of oranges until now. Currently I'm loving the color tangerine. Still a bright color but not the orangy orange of a pumpkin. Also love pink, coral, limey green, aqua, purple,……….the list goes on and on.

  20. I'm totally into purples right now, but I really don't know why. Perhaps it is because it is girly, without being overly girly – and I am the only girl in my house, (5 males : 1 husband, 2 sons, 2 pets) so I need a little "girly" in my life where I can find it!

I am really enjoying all the fun color talk on this blog hop 🙂

  21. Last weekend I found some cute pink print fabrics at an estate sale. They ranged from light pink all the way to a bright raspberry pink so right now they are my favorite!!tkmattson@hotmail.com

  22. I am loving red and white right now. I have a red and white bow tie quilt waiting to be quilted right now. All of the red came from my stash – I didn't realize I had so much! 🙂

  23. After seeing photo's of all the amazing red/white quilts in NY, I am on a red kick~ big time! I can't get enough red. 🙂 Thanks for the fun~ this looks like a great book!

  24. I've been really loving aqua and brown right now. Those colors just seem so soothing and calm. And I seem to see them everywhere I go. I'm even liking the aqua and silver/grey — it reminds me of the beautiful beaches with aqua water.

  25. Yellow, which is odd because I'm sure I have (or had) very little of it in my stash. I say had because I'm working on a Roman Stripe in light blues, yellow and grays, and there are plenty of scraps! There's a line of yellows that just came out that I had to have.

  26. I'm loving all the new lines coming out that include navy and dark purples. They're just so rich and luscious. Thanks for the chance!

  27. Loving aqua in any shade right now! Planning to paint my kitchen that color someday! I am so excited for this book to come out!

  28. I'm enamored of green .. it's so easy to pair with other colors, and has so many lovely shades. I'd say about half my stash is some variation of green.

  29. My favourite colour changes almost daily, but right now I am rather obsessed with yellow. Which is odd because there was a time in the not-so-distant past when I would have said that it was my least favourite colour. I'm so fickle!

  30. All about purple, which isn't surprising since that's my favorite color. I'm working on a quilt for a 4yo girl that's all pinks and purples, so I'm focusing on the purple for my sanity – and I have some gorgeous 1001 Peeps fabric in purple in it too!

  31. I've been totally loving orange lately. And grey. It seems like you can pair just about any color with grey and it looks incredible. But, boy, when I see these mosaics with the color of the day, that color sure looks like my favorite color instead! Love the reds!!

  32. Currently working on a yellow, gray, black and white quilt and I have to say that the bright yellow and gray are a favorite combo (or course, just one of many favorites)!

  33. Today I am loving red. Those examples of red and so alluring and wanting me to use my reds and possibly some blacks for a new wallhanging I have been thinking about. Better go now and into my stash.

  34. I Love Teal! TEAL!!! It looks good with pretty much all of the colors out there, pink, brown, red, white, black, etc…LOVE IT!

  35. What a beautiful scrap quilt and that vibrant red is so nice to go into a quilt. I have the perfect one in mind.

  36. Grey – I love grey. I hated it while I was at school as it was the colour of my uniform but now I can't get enough of it!!

  37. The colors I'm digging now are the rich delicious browns. My favorite colors are Purple (hard to find) and Green.

I love that quilt with the variety of bright colors.

  38. The color that I am digging this week is orange, and my all time favorite Purple, orange has been my favorite for about 8 months now…reason being my bff ask me to make her a pocket book and she wanted orange, that orange just inspired me so much I want orange all around me, in fact I just cut part of a quilt and a tablerunner out in bright orange, and other colors….thanks,

  39. Right now I am totally into purple–the deep dark eggplant purple! Love it! It is one of my favorite fall colors and I am feeling "Fall"!

I need a deep dark shaded purple quilt!

  40. I'm tending toward greens these days. Why? Well, why not?! 🙂 It's so pretty and it is so friendly, I think.

  41. I'm kind of into browns these days. I'd like to paint our bedroom kind of a light milk chocolate color and then have a couple of brown quilts for our bed.

  42. i am thinking of going out of my color comfort zone and do a quilt in red, turquoise, grey, and white. but green is my ALL TIME favorite color! i am def. going to get this book!

  43. The first "color" that came to mind was white. Maybe I'm just craving simplicity. But, if that doesn't count, I'll have to say green–that bright spring green that just jumps out at you and says, "how can you not be happy? just look at me!"

  44. Red. Red. Red.

Did I mention that my favorite color is red? It is and has been for as long as I can remember.

Every room in my house has red in it. Dining room walls are red.

And my fabric selections always include red. So do my clothes.

  45. I'm weird. I never dig one color. Some of my favorites are vanilla white, light aqua, smooth shades of greens and blues, pink, red, well you get the idea. I'm not a fan of orange, but I do love the site and smell of pumpkins this time of year.

  46. I'm so stereotypical but right now I'm really into Orange. The fall brings it on and I'm a huge Clemson fan so I'm surrounded by it but instead of getting tired of it- I still find myself inspired by all the colors of fall. Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  47. I love RED!!!! I am married to a red head. But I have always loved the color red. I also love bold bright colors.

  48. I have more blues in my stash than any other 2 colors. I really like deep blues but I'm sewing a quilt with lots of orange shades, along with turquoise, and tans and I'm loving it. Then I have a gorgeous white, pink w/red accents quilt top that I'm putting off quilting because I like it so much and I'll give it away when I get it done.

  49. I've always needed a touch of yellow in my quilts. I don't think I'd ever do a whole quilt in that color, but it adds a spark. Kathie L in Allentown

  50. I'm always attracted initially to brights of almost any color, so lately I have been making an effort to work with browns, greens and more earthy tones. But I always have a "bright" project in the works; it just picks up my mood to work with color!

  51. I am digging into purple to make some hexie flowers for a swap and then I'll move on to blue and white for the block lotto blocks, hoping to make a (small) dent in my scraps

  52. Up until recently I'd say aqua (and brown), but I'm craving purple/violet this autumn. Especially combined with orange or deep yellow. I don't know why this particular combination speaks autumn to me but it does.

  53. Right now, the golds of autumn are being blown past my window on a strong wind. And I'm yearning for them to stick around for awhile.

  54. My fiancé and I are planning our May wedding right now and our colors are lilac and charcoal. Anytime I go shopping or find myself looking at colors, I keep gravitating towards the purples. I just love the way the different shades can be mixed and matched into so many different lovely designs!

  55. Green in all shades. I realized when I went shopping for new clothes that I came home with three different green tops!

  56. Right now I'm digging gray in any shade, but I really want to make a rainbow-colored quilt like the ones in this book. My kids would love it. Thanks for the giveaways!

  57. Blue is always a goto color for me and probably the one that I have the most scraps of as a result !!!
Loving all the info on this book !!
    Thanks much !!

  58. Im digging the color green right now. Might have to be because I am making my daughter a tinker bell costume right now, but I love green

  59. I have been into purples lately. It has never been one of my favorite colors, but I seem to be drawn to all shades, from grey undertones, to bright ones.
Thanks for this giveaway chance. This color tour is beautiful

  60. PUMPKIN!!!! Is my favorite color. Fall is my ultimate favorite time of year. Fresh air, Autumn colors, fresh fall smells (apples, cinnamon, pumpkin pie). Looks like a great book.

  61. I'm loving the effect of colours put together in the rainbow spectrum at the moment. I love the pop of colour it creates. Thinking of making a quilt and cushions in rainbow colours for our kids playroom. Lovely giveaway!

    Jacinta

  62. I am really digging purple at the moment. I have a new purple sweater that I am loving, and purple goes so well in all those fall quilts with witches and pumpkins! Plus, I just visited a new-to-me quilt store in a purple building!

  63. I'm a long time purple lover, and and also drawn to orange. But right now with grandson number two nearly here, I am seeing blues and greens in a whole new way.

  64. My favorite color is yellow…however I'm rather fond of periwinkle…oh and then there is purple….and how about red??? Oh fiddle dee dee….I can't seem to make up my mind! What's a girl to do? Make a scrap quilt!!!!!

  65. Blue is my favorite color though it includes green, indigo, purple, violet, red, orange, and yellow too! Guess I like most colors in combination. My late father always said his favorite color was "any color so long as it is red." Thanks for the stop on the book blog tour.

  66. Purple has always been my favorite color, but I do like raspberry, burgundy and mauve.
The quilt on this post is wonderful, would love to win the book.

  67. Your reds are wonderful and there is this red quilt that I've been wanting to create. On the other hand, yellow is always so happy and who can't use happy.

  68. Right now I am into orange in any shade. Thank you for the chance to win this great book. Take care and God bless, Cory

  69. orange – my school colors for my son, my work, and my alma mater are all orange – my phone is orange, my iPod is orange, my blood is orange!!! 🙂

  70. I'm loving orange right now. I'm in Hawaii and the trees aren't changing colors so I keep trying to make that up by using orange accents all over the house!

  71. Blue! Blue in all shades. Also blue with reds and pinks. I love blue!
    andersonclanatmacdotcom

  72. My absolute favorite is purple, especially deep rich purples. I'm collecting purple fabrics now to make myself a quilt.

  73. Actually, my favorite color is red!! The new car I bought has black leather seats with red stitching!! I new it was calling my name. :^)

  74. I REALLY love gray right now. I can't get enough of it and I'm so happy more and more of it is popping up. It is great to mix with any color AND especially my second favorite aqua/turquoise.

  75. I am really into purples right now. All shades and values, I just have to figure out what to make with it to be over the top Purplious!

  76. seems grey and turquoise are drawing my eye…high contrast, I like black and fuschia too! Just love them all! Thanks!

  77. Pink & green! I've always wanted to make a pink & green quilt so I promised myself I'd do so this winter. I do like red too – anything bright really. Thanks for the chance – great giveaway.

  78. My favorites: orange, peach, coral, nectarine. You get the picture! Lately, though, I like my favs with turquoise or aqua. That's my next color combo for a quilt for ME.
    Vickie in Cleveland

  79. My color love changes every season! Right now, the fall colors- reds, oranges, rusty colors call me!
And a little purple always some spice!

  80. Teal all the way…… I had a metallic teal bike as a child that I adored beyond belief so the love of teal has remained 🙂

  81. I love red! It has been my favorite color since I was young. I loved all of the red and white quilts on display earlier this year. Thanks for the giveaway, this book looks very interesting.

  82. aqua. I thought I was a purple girl until this last year, now I am just loving aqua, my classroom even has aqua accents all over it too 🙂

  83. This book looks amazing – love the colorful scraps.

I am loving pinks and reds at the moment. Not girly pinks, but feisty pinks 🙂

  84. I'm loving orange right now – my last quilt has two oranges in it and I love one of them so much I've just ordered some more to use in another quilt I'm about to make

  85. Orange is my new favorite color. I usually shy away from orange but this year all the luscious melon colors and the oranges of fall are calling me. Time to branch out…

  86. Really want a quilt that is lime green, coral and periwinkle – happened to see these colors together somewhere and have loved the combination ever since. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. Judy C

  87. Right now I'm into pinks and purples. Don't really know why as they have never been a favorite of mine but I have found some gorgoues batiks in those shades. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway.

  88. Teal-aqua-green. These are my all-time faves and go together so well with red hair. I am taking a serious gander at red, though, considering my latest fabric shopping. 🙂

  89. It's a toss up right now – pink, orange, red. I think I'll go with bright pink. I've got some Kumari Garden butterflies with delicous pink. I can't wait to wade in there and make a new duvet & pillow cases!

  90. Right now I'm loving the Gregory blue teals that seem so cost in some awesome fabrics.

But I love red, especially the red in strawberries! There are such beautiful colors in fabric now that this book seems like such a great use for them!! Thanks for the giveaway!

Russets and golds will be next on my mind!

    Thanks for a fun chance!

  94. My favorite color, even from a very young age, has been periwinkle! I love the color! I also love the way the word looks, and it's fun saying it too! It's just one of those colors that you want to wrap yourself in. Thanks!

  95. Orange has always been my favorite color, but I am only recently finding it "useable". And it's not just for Fall, anymore! Happy happy!

  96. I always say green is my favourite colour, but I've really been branching out since I started quilting. So, I'm not quite as committed to green as I used to be.

  97. Bright orange, and all the array of colours a maple tree displays this time of year, really,
    Thanks for the giveaway,
    naslyyadid(at)gmail(dot)com

  99. I've just finished a bunch of very uncharacteristic red/orange/yellow -based quilts and am more than ready to plunge back into blues and greens.

  100. I've just finished a bunch of very uncharacteristic red/orange/yellow -based quilts and am more than ready to plunge back into blues and greens.

  101. Loving a red-brown-orange mix right now. But that's probably because I'm surrounded by aspen and pine, aka no "real" fall color.

Thanks for the chance to win, she says from under her scrap pile.

  102. I am so digging Scrap Republic. It makes me wish I had even more scraps than I do, so I could be more creative. I have a confession- I have 2 120 spool thread racks and they are organized by ROY G BIV. Yes, I'm a dork and yes, I'm proud. 🙂 Thanks!

  103. Red and black are my favorite colors, but I find that I'm using more and more brown and grey in my quilts – those two colors seem to pop everything

  106. Red has always been my favorite color, even though looking at my scraps and stash, I have lots more blue on hand.

  107. For the first time in my life, it is orange! Go figure.

Thanks for being part of this hop. Just last night I was thinking about how much this book could help me with a quilt I'm struggling to lay out.

    wordygirl at earthlink dot net

  117. Well, today I am digging red and white quilts. Just read a blog that showcased a few miniatures and now I am ready to make one!

  118. Hmmm that is a hard question. I am into the rusty reds on the trees and the burnt oranges as well I am not a true red kind of girl. But I love the rusty and more burgundy-ish reds.
    Happy Fall everyone!

  119. I am loving purple and grey! Purple because its the main colour I'm using for my daughter's new room and grey because it is just so rich and warm when in the right shade. Plus it goes with everything!

This looks like a great book.
    janita

  125. I'm working with Terrain a lot at the moment, so those colors… bright oranges, purples, pinks, blues. The colors of fall and berries. So no clear favorite at the moment, though if I look at what I've been adding to the favorites in Etsy, I might have to go with orange.

  126. Red is the color I am enjoying right now. Never really cared for it …thought it was loud, now I like it…it seems to give everything a spark when you use it. Thanks for a chance to win!

  127. I usually gravitate toward reds but right now I am focusing on blues as I audition fabrics for an upcoming project.

  128. Green, green, green!!! I got this book as soon as I saw it, hopefully it will inspire me to use some of my stash!!

  135. I'm really into turquoise right now – working on a quilt with turquoise, red and white that is going to be amazing, and also love it with brown. Actually I think I love it everywhere 🙂

  136. In my first quilting class Mary Ellen Hopkins told us all reds go together. Reds range from pink to brown and they are wonderful. Definitely red.

  137. I have fallen in love with a lime green and grey. The funny thing is green is my least favorite color, but put it with gray and its what I want.

  138. Purple is my all time favorite color, but the colors that are capturing my heart right now are BRIGHT colors because I have been working on baby quilts lately!
Thanks for offering a give-away! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! 🙂

  141. I am totally in to violet right now… Actually I have been for a few years now. But I'm also intrigued by red lately- nod typically of any interest to me.

  142. I'm digging Pink right now. My youngest daughter is due October 29th with my second granddaughter and my oldest daughter is due October 28th with a surprise grandchild (Dad wanted to know, Mom didn't, so it's a mystery to everyone but Dad)!

So I'm might be digging Pink twice as much by the end of the month!

  143. i am loving orange, i think because so many great lines have come out paired with aqua and grey, showing me how lovely a color it can be!

  144. Red IS and has ALWAYS been my favorite color!! Team red up with white and you have me as a friend for life!! Really, though, red goes with every single color there is! Love anything red and I have something RED in every room in my house!! Really brightens things up and makes everyone so happy!!

  145. Red is my fave at the moment….they say it goes faster!!! I adore red and white quilts and especially red and white spots…mm mmmmmm!!!!

  146. Right now I am working on making my sons christmas stocking with colorful christmas fabric. Lots of reds and greens!

  147. right now i'm into grey in varying shades. i'm also into teal and chartreuse. perhaps those should be my next color scheme for a quilt….

  148. White and Oranges, and now that I'm thinking about colors I want to make a creamsicle quilt. kcarlson1152[at]hotmail.com

  149. Purple is my color right now. It might be because I'm making a baby quilt with it for a friend whose having a little girl 🙂

  150. I'm a huge fan of Red. Red and White quilts are my favorites – especially if in some sort of pinwheel. . .

  151. Anything red or purple is my choice right now. Have always been fond of them but after sewing so much pink for my daughter, I think I am reaching out to them much more…anything but more pink! 😛

  152. I've always loved pink, and still do, but I am madly crushing on anything TEAL right now! Seriously glad I have an excuse to buy all new house stuff (left everything but the kids adn teh fabric with the exhubby) so I can get TEAL!

  153. I'm usually not a red person, but it's my current favorite, because it gets me in the Christmas spirit! akmajor (at) gmail (dot) com

  154. Every day of the contest, I seem to be changing what my favorite color is…LOL — today it's red…like the color of red peppers. Or pomegranates.

  155. I am really digging a rich yellow right now, I have used it in two quilts and it really adds a bright happiness to them. (But my favorite color is a teal that leans toward blue!)

  156. I'm into purple and turquoise! Purple has always been my favorite, but making its way back into everything in my world. And turquoise seems to be everywhere right now.

  157. WOW! Today is Canadian Thanksgiving and I am thankful to have found this book tour and really thankful that although I live in Canada, I have a US mailing address! As for colours I am loving blue with orange in my son's quilt and the last project that was purple and sage was really great too! Colours stress me out so I am hoping this book will help ease the stress!!

  158. I love your red collage! Fabulous! I love a good red with white polka dots. Always necessary!

I do like red…a lot! But my favorite color is green. And I really like orange too. Can I have more than one?

  159. Well I think I'm finally starting to spread my color wings. I've been in a few Civil War BOMs and even though I love those fabrics, I'm starting to pay more attention to brighter colors. Right now my favorites are red and aqua.

Thank you and the Sponsors for the giveaways and a chance to win.

  161. I am actually into red, white and blue right now. I have 2 BOM's going in those colors right now.
