BLOG REMIX - DIY Infinity Scarf - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

We’re shaking things up on the Jolly Jabber! We are bringing life back to our old projects with Blog Remixes! Every other Thursday from today until November 15, we will be throwing it back to one of our tutorials with new fabrics, notions, tips and tricks to inspire you to make your next project. Whether you’ve seen this project before or it’s your first time, there’s a remix project for everyone. This week’s remix is the DIY Infinity Scarf by Crystal from the Hello Creative Family! Project Requirements

Here’s what you’ll need to make this project:

2 yards of fabric of your choice
Thread
Scissors or rotary cutter (if you are using a rotary cutter, you will need a rotary cutter mat)
Ruler or seamstress tape
Sewing Machine
Needle

Quilt Along

We even had some awesome quilty friends make their version of the DIY Infinity Scarf:

Quilty staffer Deborah made her infinity scarf using Wild Bloom (SKU in photo here) by Bari J for Art Gallery Fabrics. Deborah suggests that when sewing with rayon, leave the selvages on and trim them off after you’ve finished sewing. Rayon is slipperly and the slightly stiffer selvage makes it a little easier to work with.

Quilty staffer Elva made her infinity scarf using Fusions Spices (SKU in photo here) by AGF Studios for Art Gallery Fabrics. Elva loved making these scarves as they are super quick to make and are wonderful gifts for friends (and yourself – of course)!

Quilty staffer Susan made her infinity scarf using Lavish (SKU in photo here) by Katarina Roccella for Art Gallery Fabrics. Susan loved using Art Gallery fabric for this project because it had a tighter weave and hardly frays at all.

Quilty staffer Krystal made her infinity scarf using Cotton + Steel Lawn (SKU in photo here) by Cotton + Steel Fabrics.

Quilty staffer Krystal made another infinity scarf using Cotton + Steel Lawn (SKU in photo here) by Cotton + Steel Fabrics. Krystal liked making this project because it’s very quick and the resulting scarf looks awesome!

Amy of Sew Incredibly Crazy (@sewincrediblycrazy) made her infinity scarf using a Rayon Batik that she had in her stash. Amy loved making this project as the scarves go together quickly and are really beautiful. She says that if you wanted to, you can make this a no sew project with hem tape.

Lisa of In the Boon Docks (@intheboondocks) used Vintage Lawn to make her infinity scarf. She waited a long time to use this fabric and this was the project to use it in! The fabric was super soft and light weight and the scarf was very easy to sew.

Wendy of Sugarlane Designs (@wendybert) made her infinity scarf out of Country Collections. She chose a small red print to go with the denim and black outfits she wears a lot. She says to think about what you’ll pair with your scarf with to ensure you get top value!
