We’re back for another season of blog remixes! We saw the great response to the remixed projects from last year and are continuing them for another year! The blog remixes will be throwing it back to one of our tutorials with new fabrics, notions, and tips and tricks to inspire you to make your next project. Whether you’ve seen this project before or it’s your first time, there’s a remix project for everyone. The second remix of our second season of blog remixes is the Milk Cow Kitchen Towel project we did in 2014! These hanging kitchen towels are super easy to make and are perfect for jazzing up your kitchen!
Kimberly did a video tutorial on the Milk Cow Kitchen Towel back in 2014! Grab your materials and follow along with us as we show you how to make a hanging hand towel for your kitchen:

We even had some awesome quilty friends make their version of the Milk Cow Kitchen Towel projects! We love seeing the different fabrics they made their Milk Cow Kitchen Towels in and the tips they have to share.
Angie of Gnome Angel (@gnomeangel) made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using canvas prints from her stash. She says, “I made 6 of the kitchen towels in less than an hour. Perfect for last minute gifts!”
Quilty Staffer Cheryl made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Love Grows by Deb Strain for Moda Fabrics. She says that this was a super quick project to make!
Quilty Staffer Deborah made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Essentially Yours for Moda Fabrics. She says, “I used two 27″ square feed sack tea towels and an old Aunt Martha’s Iron on Embroidery. I cut my tea towel down the middle lengthwise and the width to get four hand towels.”
Quilty Staffer Elva made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Grid by Katarina Roccella for Art Gallery Fabrics. She says, “I had fun using an embroidered hand towel, and I think this would be a great housewarming gift!”
Katy of Katy Quilts (@katyquilts) made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Indah by Me + You for Hoffman Fabrics. She says, “You can make it in under an hour, and it’s easy to personalize for your decor or holidays. “
Hilary of By Hilary Jordan made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Patriotic scraps from her stash. She says, “It was just as easy to make two, so I did!”.
Kristie of Tea Doddles (@teadoddles) made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using a fun kitchen print by David Textiles that was in her stash. She says, “I used cotton flour sack towels for this project. They are thinner, so I folded them in half & used basting stitches on each side of the fold to gather the towel in the center. “
Quilty Staffer Lilly made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Wonderland by Rifle Paper Co.. She says, “I chose the blue towel to bring out the more whimsical side of the fabric, and yes these will be going in my kitchen!”
Quilty Staffer Nancy made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Poolside by Alexia Abegg and Melody Miller and Farm Fresh by Gingiber. She says, “Instead of making a buttonhole, I used 2 dots of Velcro and added a decorative button using fabric glue.”
Quitly Staffer Susan made her Milk Cow Kitchen Towel using Twilight by One Canoe Two for Moda Fabrics. She says, “I used Kate Spade towels for elegance and quilted the top piece for sturdiness.”
