Aurifil Thread Boxes are all the rage. Aurifil is well established as a favorite among quilters for their quality and durability. Quilters frequently use white, grey and black thread to piece their quilts. To spice up your thread options, Aurifil releases collections of thread to perfectly match certain popular fabric collections.   You can appliqué with style and confidence, knowing that your thread will blend in flawlessly. Just grab a thread box that perfectly matches your fabric collection and get sewing!

We are featuring three new Aurifil thread collections that coordinate perfectly with three Moda collections. Combining Moda and Aurifil is a sure-fire way to produce a striking, colorful quilt! Today we are featuring (and giving away) Minick and Simpson’s Independence Trail, Vanessa Christenson’s Simply Color and Pat Sloan’s Eat Your Fruits and Veggies thread boxes to our Jolly Jabber readers!

Minick and Simpson’s Independence Trail Thread Box contains 10 spools of Aurifil cotton thread to coordinate perfectly with their Independence Trail collection. Fortunately for all of the Minick and Simpson fans, these spools go strikingly well with Indigo Crossing and well, most all of their collections! At least three to four spools in the box will work in all of their past collections.

V and Co’s Simply Color Large Thread Box contains 12 spools made to match her debut collection. Her thread is bright and vibrant but will blend in perfectly with the colors in Simply Color.

Pat Sloan’s Eat Your Fruits and Veggies Thread Box gets us in the mood for a healthy lunch. The 12 spools in her Large Aurifil Thread Box matches perfectly with her new collection Eat Your Fruits and Veggies, so stitch yourself up a tomato or an apple!

We are giving away one of each thread box featured to our lovely readers! Comment below letting us know what coming soon collection should have a coordinating thread box for a chance to win! A winner will be chosen at random on Monday (10/22/12). Good luck!

  1. I think Salt Water by Tula Pink would make a beautiful Thread Box – such a delicious range of colors! On the other hand, the Seven Wonders collection by Parson Gray would yield a box of colors that very few of us probably have in our stash. Both great choices 🙂

  2. Really like Calliope by Riley Blake and think an Aurilfil collection would be wonderful to go with it!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. I think Indigo Crossing. I know you said the M&S collection would work with it, but it is the fabric collection I am waiting to get my hands on.

  4. I am absolutely in love with Kate Spain's CUZCO. I would LOVE to see a collection to match this line.
I want to win this prize!

  5. So many good choices! I'd vote for Amethyst, Calliope, or Eden's Dream! Or maybe some Mint Floressence, or Floressence…

  6. I think the Birds of Paradise Batiks by Hoffmann Fabrics would probably make an amazing colourful set as coordinated thread, but then I love the colours of those Batiks anyway 😉

Thanks for the chance to win!

  7. rainbow stonehenge would make a wonderful box of threads. Actually matching threads with any stonehenge product would be great, sometimes they are hard to match.

  8. from a marketing standpoint, I would say Kate Spain's two lines Cuzco and HOney are coordinating and people like her prints so that's probably a good idea. I'd prefer Kaffe's dots though!

  9. Thanks for the giveaway. A threadbox for honey, honey would be great!

  10. I think that Honey Honey by Kate Spain would be a good candidate for a thread kit. There are lots of colors in that collection and it would be great to be able to match them all! Thank you for the nice giveaway. 🙂

  11. It's not on the page yet, but Salt Water from Tula Pink! I'm guessing that thread bundle would also coordinate nicely with her previous lines also 😉

  14. I am looking forward to the reissue of Paris Flea Market. Those light pinks and greens need a thread box collection.

  15. Tula Pink's Saltwater, because I'm looking forward to it so much. And I know it's not in the Coming Soon list, but I'm planning on making her Spacedust quilt in the Birds and the Bees, so I'd like that one too.

A real change from what has already been done.

  24. I think it would be interesting if every range came with, if not an actual box, but a list of the co-ordinationg thread numbers. It would certainly be helpful building a collection of threads.

  25. New Colonies by Nancy Gere. I LOVE aurifil thread. It is the only thread I will use. Using another thread is just not worth the headache.
    Sarah

  33. All Hands on Deck! Yardage/Jack and Lulu for Dear Stella Fabrics would be my choice. Love, love, love those nautical fabrics!`

  38. I couldn't choose just one as there are 2 lines I am crazy about first being Hearthside Seasons by Kim Diehl for Henry glass and the second would be Black White and Currant4 by Color Principle for Henry Glass. Aren't they both just beautiful? Of course they are! Thanks for a chance to win. I use Aurifil exclusively for all my sewing, quilting and stitching.

  41. Greetings from Northern Saskatchewan CANADA! I love the new Aurifil colors – especially the Independence Trail! I wish they would come out with it in Aurifil 12wt Lana Wool for applique though! Now they have the new wool in their line! We are addicted to wool applique up here!

  42. I could put at least a dozen different collections, but when I got to "Rebecca" from Windham Fabrics, I fell in love! That collection DEFINITELY needs a set of thread to go with it!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  43. Robyn Pandolph's Incense and Peppermints is my pick. I made my first quilt with her fabrics several years ago and she remains one of my favorite designers. I love the colors in this new 'coming soon' line.

thanks for a chance to win.

  56. I think a collection of thread to compliment Kaffe Fassett's "Spot On" Fabric Collection would be fabulous. It would go with all of the other fabrics in the Kaffe Fasset Collective and would be really versatile that way! Thanks for the opportunity, just love Aurifil and your shop!

  61. I'd like to see a box for Modern Method or Shelburne Falls. I really like Aurifil thread and use it frequently but the boxes they have out now aren't quite right for the darker palettes in these lines (which both look gorgeous!)

  62. Honey Honey. No, Nursery Rhymes. Wait! Maybe Sakura Park. Pastel Kona Solids? How is a person supposed to choose just one? One thing I did learn is that I have to get busy and whittle down my stash so I can make room for new fabrics!

  63. I would love to see Aurifil make a collection for applique like on bobbins making it easier to carry and own more colors. Thanks for the chance to win anything Aurifil!
