International Space Station Expedition 37 Flight Engineer Karen Nyberg of NASA is a life-long lover of sewing and quilting. As an avid quilter, it does not shock us that she still quilts during her time in space. In honor of the 40th anniversary of the International Quilt Festival in Houston, she created the Star Block Challenge and invites quilters to join her!
To enter, quilters just need to create a star-themed 9.5″ – square unfinished block. You can make it traditional, modern, artsy, or anything you want in any color scheme or technique but must not include any embellishments. If you’re ready to join in on the fun, download the rules here and send your blocks to:

One block has already been sent from Norway!
Amazing, a quilter in space!! Thank you!
How fun! My niece and I are going to do this today.
I am fascinated! Thanks for posting this video.
I am greatly weighed down by your opinions for that specific tale. A additional deeper and staged expertise could well be very fine for me
