The 2026 Haven Quilt and Stitch Along represents the haven of hope, strength, and courage given to families by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It isn’t just a wish, it’s the gift of rest, respite, and renewal when they need it the most. We invite you to sew and stitch along with us in June 2026, and we can’t wait to start these two special projects with you this spring!

Benefitting Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas

Our Haven Quilt and Cross Stitch Patterns benefit Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas. As we sail closer to our 13th Annual Charity Quilt Along, we are excited for the life-changing impact this sewing community can make and are inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes.

Last year, we had the special opportunity to host Justin’s Wish Party. The time spent with Justin and his family was a bright spot in our year, and we had so much fun hearing about all the fun things they planned to do during their trip to Disney!

Make-A-Wish reminds us that a wish is so much more than a moment; it’s a chance for children to focus on hope instead of hospital visits. The excitement of imagining a wish can transform long hours into joyful dreams of magical meetings and once-in-a-lifetime adventures. These life-affirming experiences give children and their families strength, courage, and joy, along with the comforting reminder that they are not alone.

The fundraiser works by offering the Haven Quilt and Cross Stitch Patterns as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation of $10 each to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. No amount is too small, and every bit counts.

Special Donor Gift!

The first 500 donors to donate an amount of $75 or more will receive a special limited edition Haven Bear as a thank-you gift! This sweet bear comes with embroidered foot pads and a darling bowtie and will only be available to those who donate to the Haven fundraiser this year. For each bear we send to a donor, we will also send one to a Make-A-Wish child, so it’s a gift that keeps giving!

Our $100,000 Goal!

Our quilty community never ceases to amaze us with its kindness and big-hearted generosity. We know how meaningful it is to come together for this cause, and we’re so grateful for every donation, no matter the size, that helps bring a child’s wish to life.

Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics are once again teaming up to match up to $30,000 in donations. With our amazing community pitching in, we know that hitting our $100,000 goal is on the horizon!

About the Haven Quilt Along

The Haven Quilt Along will take place in June 2026, with the free pattern releasing in two parts. Featuring scattered stars, the design reflects the haven of hope that a wish granted by Make-A-Wish provides children and their families. Keep reading to learn more, and be sure to check back on the blog this spring for the official Haven Quilt Along kickoff.

Haven Quilt Kit

The Haven Quilt finishes at 54.5″ x 54.5″ and is suitable for all skill levels! If you want to make one just like ours, you can pick up our exclusive Quilt Kit and Backing Set. Plus, when you buy the Haven Quilt Kit, you will receive all the fabric to complete the quilt top and binding, packaged in an exclusive tote bag. Quantities are limited, so make sure you reserve yours in time for the first pattern release in June.

A bonus of purchasing this quilt kit is that you will have all the blocks and finishing patterns before they are released online. The Haven printed pattern set will only be available early as part of this kit!

Our exclusive Haven Backing Set includes 3.625 yards of True Love fabric and an exclusive binding holder! The backing for this quilt is a single cut of fabric, rather than being pieced, so finishing your Haven Quilt will be a breeze.

About the Haven Stitch Along

Each year, we enjoy stitching the coordinating cross stitch pattern for the charity quilt pattern, and the scattered stars and added texture in the Haven Cross Stitch Pattern make it a must-stitch! With five colors of embroidery floss hand-picked to coordinate with the quilt, you will be sew excited to get stitching when we release the two parts of the Haven Cross Stitch Pattern in June 2026.

Your stitches will feel like a safe haven with this cross stitch design that matches the 2025 Haven Charity Quilt. It has a stitch count of 61w x 61h and finishes as a 5″ square on 25 Count Lugana.
