Are you ready for more Bee in my Bonnet Sew Along Fun? To celebrate the release of Lori Holt’s new book, Great Granny Squared, we teamed up with Lori of Bee in My Bonnet to plan an exceptionally adorable blog tour and sew along. Want to join in?
Lori’s version of the Mama’s Crochet Quilt |
For the Great Granny Sew Along, Lori designed the Mama’s Crochet Quilt Pattern using some of the blocks in Great Granny Squared. Starting on April 21st, we will start sewing this quilt one block at a time. We are teaming up with some of your favorite bloggers and will be giving away plenty of prizes along the way. We even designed two different finishing patterns for the quilt. You can sew Lori’s Version or Kimberly’s Version of the Mama’s Crochet Quilt! We love both versions equally:)

To join in, make the Mama’s Crochet blocks each week and post a photo to the Great Granny Squared Flickr Group. From those photos, we will choose a winner to win one of the Lori Holt approved prizes offered up each week. We are giving away mix of fabric, Lori’s favorite notions, and Fat Quarter Shop gift certificates throughout the sew along, so remember to upload your block photos here!
The tour kicks off April 21, 2014 and the schedule of events is below. More details are on the Great Granny Sew Along page!

Are the finished dimensions the same on Kimberly's version? Lori's showed a finished size of 40 X 52. I was thinking of making it a little bigger, maybe an extra row of grannies around it.
Hi Johanna! Yes, the finished sizes are the same. Kimberly's is turned vertically, and Lori's is turned horizontally.
I love Kimberly's fabric. What is the fabric line?
