This week we’re bringing you our latest AGF Stitched Quilt with a FREE pattern and video tutorial! Take flight with the Starling Quilt! The pops of bright color against white and dark gray make for a fun, modern quilt.
In addition to the pattern, we offer the Starling Quilt Kit for the 52.5″ x 52.5″ quilt top and binding that features the Prism Elements collection and the Oval Elements collection by Art Gallery Fabrics.
This is a cool design and one that beginners can easily complete given the large size of the pieces. It would make a cute baby quilt, housewarming gift, or throw to keep you warm.
This design is fat quarter friendly: one fat quarter is used to make each of the eight starlings in the quilt. We found that the Color Master Fat Quarter Boxes by Art Gallery Fabrics were a great choice since they come with ten color-coordinated fat quarters. It takes the guesswork out of fabric selection with these beautifully selected bundles.
When you’re ready, grab the FREE Starling Quilt Pattern and follow along with the video tutorial as Kimberly takes you through how to make the Starling Quilt step by step!
We are so fortunate to have 8 quilting bloggers join us to quilt along with us! Check out their takes on the Starling Quilt below. Click on an image to see it larger and scroll through the photos.

Oh gosh and I just used my pink AGF on my grandbabes new quilt, would have been perfect! Well I have to stay busy on my Sons R B MTM QA anyway because I got behind over the holidays, so back to the grindstone.♥️💁🏻♀️Much blessings FQS.
Love this and yes, this is very eye catching. I find myself coming back to it several times…..thanks!
The winter storm this weekend canceled our plans to visit our daughter and celebrate our grandson’s 1st birthday. When life gives you lemons make quilts! I made two of these from my stash this weekend. They’ll be backed with minky. The whole family is traveling to Hawaii this summer and these will make perfect covers to help the littles sleep on the plane. I’ve got one more to make. Thanks for the free pattern and tutorial.
