This is a cool design and one that beginners can easily complete given the large size of the pieces. It would make a cute baby quilt, housewarming gift, or throw to keep you warm.
This design is fat quarter friendly: one fat quarter is used to make each of the eight starlings in the quilt. We found that the Color Master Fat Quarter Boxes by Art Gallery Fabrics were a great choice since they come with ten color-coordinated fat quarters. Oh gosh and I just used my pink AGF on my grandbabes new quilt, would have been perfect! Well I have to stay busy on my Sons R B MTM QA anyway because I got behind over the holidays, so back to the grindstone.♥️💁🏻♀️Much blessings FQS.

The winter storm this weekend canceled our plans to visit our daughter and celebrate our grandson’s 1st birthday. When life gives you lemons make quilts! I made two of these from my stash this weekend. They’ll be backed with minky. The whole family is traveling to Hawaii this summer and these will make perfect covers to help the littles sleep on the plane. I’ve got one more to make. Thanks for the free pattern and tutorial.
