This month, we’re back and just as beaming as before with the final installment of our 11th Annual Charity Quilt, Moonbeams, and some exciting news about this year’s charity quilt raffle! The digital pattern is now live and available to download on our website. The final pattern in this series consists of three blocks for the center unit, sashing, and all of this is bookended by the Strawberry Lemonade Hexi Cheater Fabric! As always, we’re sewing with the ever-cheery Strawberry Lemonade Collection designed by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics and you can shop the complete Moonbeams Pieced Backing Set now!
The Strawberry Lemonade Hexi Cheater Fabric yardage is due in mid-October, but the Moonbeams Pieced Backing Set has it included — no need to wait to wait! Along with all the fabric you will need to complete your Moonbeams Quilt, the backing set includes a free physical copy of the pattern.

As we fly through our 11th Annual Charity Quilt, we continue to be amazed by the generosity of this sewing community and inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes. We encourage you to donate just $10 for the use of each free quilt pattern or a total of $50. For the cross stitch patterns, we are asking for a $20 donation. No amount is too small, and every bit counts. Fat Quarter Shop is proudly partnering with Moda Fabrics to match up to $30,000 in donations.
This Year’s Quilt Raffle for Charity
We’re excited to share that we’re having a charity quilt raffle for Make-a-Wish again this year! This special raffle gives so many quilt fans the chance to win a quilt. Raffle tickets will be $10 each, and you’ll have the chance to buy raffle tickets for your favorite quilt or quilts.
We are grateful to Robin Pickens, Pat Sloan, and Lissa Alexander of Moda Fabrics for joining Kimberly Jolly in donating their Bountiful quilts for the raffle! The dates of the charity quilt raffle will be September 12 – 22, so stay tuned to the blog for updates!
