We are proud to present the 2021 Serendipity Stitch Along! Join us for the 2nd Annual Make-a-Wish Charity Stitch Along, as we stitch this pattern inspired by our 2021 Serendipity Charity Quilt.
Our Serendipity Cross Stitch Chart and Quilt benefit Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas.
Fat Quarter Shop is happy to be partnering with Moda Fabrics to match up to $30,000 in donations for this worthy cause.
If you’re new to our Charity Stitch Along, welcome! The way the fundraiser works is that we offer the Serendipity patterns as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation of $15 for the whole cross stitch pattern to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. We’ll start releasing the seven patterns that make up this chart on March 1st, 2021. Every two weeks, here on the blog we will publish a new part of the chart.
About the Pattern
This pretty little piece can be stitched up in any size cloth you prefer. The stitch count is 100w x 116h, which finishes around 7.25″ x 8.25″ on 14 Count Aida. Yellows, blues and grays stand out on the inky background like stars on a night sky.
To make your cross stitch just like this one, you’ll need some floss and cloth. The colors you choose are up to you, but we’ve collected some items to get your stitching off to a good start. Download our complete Cross Stitch Supply List for all the details.
Cross Stitch Supplies
- Cross Stitch Floss. We recommend the DMC Thread Pack or Weeks Dye WorksThread Pack.
- Cross Stitch Cloth. We used Navy 14 Count Aida.
Every two weeks, here on the blog we will publish a new part of the chart and link it below. You’ll stitch one row for Releases 1 through 7. Please bookmark this page for easy reference.
Update on Serendipity Pattern Launches
Due to shipping delays for the Serendipity quilt kit, we are moving the Serendipity Cross Stitch start date to March 1st so you are able to receive your kits and supplies before the first pattern is released. We care sew deeply about this project, this cause, and doing it together as a community. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
You’ll want to bookmark this page, the 2021 Serendipity Stitch Along Page, to refer to throughout the stitch along. We’ll link all the pattern releases here.
