We’re ready for our Inaugural Charity Stitch Along, and we hope you’ll join us for what is sure to be a special event! This is our 7th quilt for charity, and our first year to invite both quilters and cross stitchers to join us in supporting Make-A-Wish with an online quilt along AND stitch along. This sampler quilt and cross stitch combines unique and historical designs in a vintage “make-do” style for a whimsical work of art.
From February through July 2020, we will post free quilt block, cross stitch and finishing patterns for both on our blog to download and print on the 1st and 15th of each month. We offer the Bloom-Topia patterns as FREE downloads for a suggested donation of $15 total to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. Together, Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will match up to $20,000 of your donations to Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas. In 2019, we were able to raise enough to grant wishes for four Wish kids, and this year we are aiming to grant at least five Wishes!

Cross Stitch Supplies
To make your cross stitch just like this one, you’ll need some floss and cloth. The colors you choose are up to you, but we’ve collected some items to get your stitching off to a good start.
Kimberly stitched this sample in 25 Count Pewter Lugana, but you can choose any cloth that suits you. The piece measures just 88 stitches wide by 116 stitches tall and is shown here at approximately 7″ tall.
- Cross Stitch Floss. We recommend the DMC Thread Pack or AuriFloss Thread Pack.
- Cross Stitch Cloth. We used Pewter 25 Count Lugana.
