It’s that time of year again! As our 2018 charity quilt along, the Clementine Quilt Along, comes to an end, we are auctioning off the completed quilt made by our very good quilty friend, Pat Sloan (@quilterpatsloan)! From January through July 2018, Fat Quarter Shop has posted free patterns on their blog and asking for donations to their St. Jude Children’s Hospital campaign, to continue their mission to end child cancer and to assist their families and children.
Together with Moda Fabrics, we are matching up to $20,000 of all donations raised in this campaign!
We are sew grateful to Pat Sloan, quilt designer, podcaster, author and teacher, for generously auctioning off her Clementine Quilt Along quilt to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital! Once again, she has created a beautiful quilt with her own flair, in bright blues, purples and tangerines from Kate Spain’s Voyage collection for Moda Fabrics.
It has been quilted gratis for charity by Cindy & Dennis Dickinson with a swirly floral design using a cornflower blue thread and low loft batting. It finishes at a nice lap size of 54.5″ x 71.5″. On the back, she has added a handwritten quilt label, and the backing is an artful assortment of scraps.
