We are kicking off 2014 with a big bang! 2014 will be a year of creativity for us at Fat Quarter Shop, and we hope it will be for you. Today, we are happy to reveal and announce one of our new and exciting programs, the 2014 Designer Mystery Block of the Month Club!
Since 2008, we have collaborated with 12 fantastic designers to create amazing sampler blocks. This is our seventh Designer Mystery quilt, and I hope you will hop on the wagon with us for this one-of-a-kind quilt!
This year, it’s all about stars! Twelve Moda designers have created a beautiful star block for this year’s quilt, which is made from Laundry Basket Quilts’ upcoming fabric group, Snowbird. This is our first time using Laundry Basket Quilts fabric for our program; just one look and you can see why. This fabric absolutely, positively blew us away. It is a range of blues that is so romantic and elegant, there just aren’t words.
Plus, Edyta Sitar herself designed our finishing kit! Her quilts always wow us, and while we can’t show you all of it yet, this quilt is no exception. It is definitely a treasure you will want to keep forever!

I was really thinking I might not join this coming year. I love the quilts and the directions are amazing and FQS is extremely generous with the fabric, but I thought I had too many things going. However…I adore this fabric line and wanted to find a project for it…so you guys solved the problem. Why am I surprised? All signed up – thank you!
Are the pictures actual pictures of the quilt we would be making?

When does the first block ship and when do you charge the credit card? I love the colors they will be perfect for our bedroom. Does the pattern also show how to make the quilt in different sizes other than the BOM kit size. Thank you, Sheila
Did any one finish this quilt? I have completed all 12 of the blocks and have ordered the pattern for finishing it. If any one has completed the quilt, I would love to see some pictures of the whole quilt not just parts of it.
