Hello everyone! Today is the BIG day! It’s the start of The Farmer’s Wife Sew Along with Angie of Gnome Angel and Marti Michell!
The first block for this Sew Along is #12 Becky. This block is so simple and fun to make. Here is Kimberly’s first block using the Miniature Gatherings collection by Primitive Gatherings. If you need some tips on sewing your blocks, visit Kimberly’s Sew Along Prep blog post.
Our quilty staff, Cheryl also joined the fun. She is sewing her blocks with the 30’s Playtime 2015 Collection for Moda Fabrics.
Check out Angie‘s #12 Becky block as well. We love her whimsical take on this block!
If you want to sew along with us, here is what you need…
Copy of 1930’s Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt book (we have this on pre-order and will be getting them soon!).
Set S, A, B, D, and N of Marti Michell’s Templates.
A bundle of your favorite fabrics! We created a special FQS Reproduction Farmer’s Wife Sew Along Fat Quarter Bundle with some of our favorite 1930’s prints.
If you prefer a more modern take on the quilt, Angie also curated an exclusive bundle featuring her favorite prints from Ella Blue Basics and Lakehouse collections (a match made in quilty heaven!)

We will be posting a monthly recap of all of the blocks at the end of each month on the Jolly Jabber. Thank you so much everyone!
