Swoon Sixteen Quilt Along & Contest

We’re absolutely Swooning over Camille’s Patterns! The Swoon Design is a signature pattern of Camille Roskelley and truly made the quilting world take notice of her pattern company Thimble Blossoms! The Swoon Sixteen Quilt, a sibling of her original Swoon pattern, packs in sixteen 16-inch Swoon blocks made from 16 Fat Quarters!  (I wonder how she came up with that name LOL!)  She was nice enough to film a Swoon Sixteen tutorial with us, and it launched another quilt along/contest, the Swoon Along! We would like you to make the Swoon Sixteen Block from the Swoon Sixteen Quilt into a project; keep it as a block, a mini quilt, a pillow, or any creation of your own!

Camille made her Swoon Sixteen Block into a mini quilt using Smitten by Bonnie & Camille for Moda Fabrics, and this little guy is also one of the prizes for the Swoon Sixteen contest (see details below!)

Kimberly also made her Swoon Sixteen Block into a mini quilt with Smitten, focusing on her favorite color combo, aqua and pink.

To get those creative juices flowing, our wonderful quilty staffers swooped to sprinkle us with Swoon-worthy inspiration for other looks in the Swoon Sixteen Quilt!

Nancy made her Swoon Sixteen Quilt Block into a lovely wall hanging using Aubergine by Debbie Beaves for Maywood Studio Fabric. She used a complementary Grunge Basics by BasicGrey for Moda Fabrics to bind it, which is an creative pairing that works so well.

Terri whipped up several Swoon Sixteen blocks into a small lap quilt using Storybook Ranch by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics.  We love the scrappy border, just one fun way to add her personal flair!

  1. I don’t know about anyone else… but the font size in your posts is incredibly small and very difficult to read. Love the big photos of gorgeous quilts but finding my eyes are stressed trying to read the captions.

    1. The original swoon block is a 24 inch block and there are 9 blocks (3×3) in the quilt. They’re both beautiful, just size difference.

  2. Have several “quick quilts” I’d like to make with these fat quarters. I make quilts for local service organizations and they auction them off and the money goes into scholarship funds for local graduating seniors.
