We are so excited to be part of the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Blog Tour and are proud that THREE It’s Sew Emma blocks are featured in the magazine, Marmalade Flower by Kimberly Jolly, Trendster by Jocelyn Ueng and Fairy Tale Castle by Sarah Price! We had so much fun designing these blocks and are excited to show them off!
Keep reading to hear more about our blocks from the magazine and to enter to win copies of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Magazine Volume 7 for yourself!
Jocelyn here! I designed the Trendster block on page 70 of the magazine. It features Simply Color by V and Co. Trendster is a block that will stay in my arsenal of useful blocks. This cool color scheme has been a favorite of mine since I was kid, and wearing them always made me feel cool. (I was a child of the late 80s, early 90s.) So this block also makes me feel cool. And while you can use any palette you like, the corner triangles leave it open to interpretation, so you can sneak a second motif into your quilt. Thanks to Quiltmaker for including our blocks!
Hello Jolly Jabber Readers! Sarah here! I designed the Fairy Tale Castle block on page 41 of the magazine. What girl doesn’t want to live in a fairy tale castle! I saw the Princess collection from Michael Miller and knew it would make an adorable castle block. The block uses both Princess and Fairy Frost by Michael Miller Fabrics, and is perfect for any little princess!
And now for the giveaway! We are offering up three copies of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Magazine Volume 7, since three of our blocks were featured! Head over to our Coming Soon page and comment below, letting us know what collections are on your wish list!
UPDATE Our winners have been chosen! Congratulations to Jodi – usairdoll, Stephanie @ Quarter Incher and Angelia Lanouette! You have been contacted to claim your prize. Congratulations!

How wonderfu; – three blocks! And you hae so many great fabric collections. I found some a little out of my confort zone (I gravitate towards bright colors and bold prints) that I might give a try including Blushing by Margot Languedos for Henry Glass Fabrics and Palomaby Dear Stella Fabrics.Plus I just love Black, White & Currant by Color Principle for Henry Glass Fabrics.
I saw the cutest baby quilt in a quilt store in Lancaster pa made out of reproduction fabric and now I'm obsessed. I love the 30's playtime. I have a baby due in June so well see if I can get to it.
Your blocks are all great! Congratulations to the designer of each block. I am most looking forward to Anni Downs 12 Days of Christmas fabric.

I am liking the Enchanted line. Thanks for the chance to win
So many lovely fabrics coming up! My favorites are Savannah by Jo Morton, Grandma's Garden by Darlene Zimmerman, and Crossroads by Jan Patek. I could go on and on because I like so many; but these lines would be put to use with some patterns I already have.
So many of the upcoming fabrics look great but I think that Quilt Girl line by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics will be on my "must have" list – the fat quarter bundle might be all I need to get me started. Thanks for the chance to win!
So many fabric lines coming out soon. I pick "Simply Style" though.
I like Nature's Basket! And about half a dozen more…;->
There are so many! Ashbury Heights by Doohikey Designs, Bungalow by Joel Dewberry, Cleo by Another Point of View, Frosted Festive Fall and Elderberry Jam Batiks by Hoffman Fabrics, Flats by Angela Yosten, Gray Matters by Jacqueline Savage McFee, Let's Pretend by Sarah Jane, Rainbow Kids Stonehenge by Linda Ludovico, Simply Style by V & Co., and Thesaurus by Thomas Knauer. My budget won't allow me to have them all, but they are all so wonderful.
Elf on the Shelf is on my wish list. I know I will be spending some night hours sewing after my little one is asleep to sew up a small quilt for him. Not only will he have the elf on the shelf to keep an eye out for Santa, but also a quilty! Bwah-hah-hah. There will be no place for him to hide! LOL!
