We are finally in the last month of the Patchwork Quilt Along! We’ve had a great 12 months making the Patchwork Quilt block by block with all of you and raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We are very happy to say we’ve exceeded our $10,000 goal and have raised over $12,000! Which means Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will each be matching the maximum $10,000, for a total of $20,000 on top of your generous donations. WOOHOO!
We would love to grant more wishes for children diagnosed with life-threatening conditions, so please continue to donate $5 for every pattern download. Thank you all for helping us raise money for this great cause!
We now have TWO gorgeous Patchwork Quilts for up for auction! We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Pat Sloan for donating her Patchwork quilt, made from her Sunday Drive collection!
Fat Quarter Shop’s quilt is the main quilt featured in the Patchwork Quilt Along. It is made with Bonnie & Camille Basics from Moda Fabrics, and the back features a lovely 25″ block! It was quilted gratis by MyLongArm.com in a darling chicken wire design.
Pat’s quilt is made with a mix of her Sunday Drive prints and batiks and was quilted gratis by Cindy and Dennis Dickinson with variegated thread in a dragonfly design. The back shows off a sweet handwritten label from Pat herself.
Please place your bid on these two beautiful quilts or pass along the news, as all proceeds from this auction will continue to go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The auctions end December 15th at 10AM CST, so don’t delay and place your bids today!
And of course, come back next Friday on December 15th for the twelfth block AND backing instructions for the Patchwork Quilt! See you then, and have a happy weekend!
