It’s time again for a brand new Notion of the Month! Kimberly Jolly is here today to tell you a little bit about our March Notion of the Month, our Simplicity Bias Tape Maker and accompanying tips (in 2 ¼” (1 1/8“) and 2 ½” (1 ¼”))! And don’t forget, the Notion of the Month is 20% off all month!

The March 2013 Notion of the Month is a real time saver. And who doesn’t want to save some time! Simplicity’s new Bias Tape Maker helpers you make double fold binding in half the time. Simply cut your binding strips at your desired size and insert your strips in the Bias Tape Maker and your binding will come out double folded and pressed perfectly.

When joining your binding strips sew the strips in the diagonal so they run through the machine smoother. We have made a tutorial that will walk you through all of the steps you need for this process!

You will need to purchase the Bias Tape Maker Machine Tips separately. We offer 2 ¼” and 2 ½” size options, perfect for your binding! And remember, the Bias Tape Maker and attachable tips are 20% off all month!

  1. I own one of these and it is fantastic. The first few times, the tip had trouble when the seams passed through it, but it sorted itself out and now I can walk away and get back to work while it does its thing.
