Get ready for your sewing schedule to be jam-packed all month long! Before we jump into all the non-quilty sewing fun we have planned—and there is a lot—we just have to highlight our plans for National Sew A Jelly Roll Day happening Saturday, September 20th.
The celebrations start early with the Monthly Pattern Sale for Jelly Roll Patterns and the release of the new Jelly Roll Arrows Shortcut Quilt FREE Quilt Pattern and video. Then, we’ll be coming to you from the blog on Thursday, the 18th, with everything you need to know about the special Saturday Livestream on the 20th. could you cover how you prepare jelly roll strips before cutting, especially if you will be using other fabric yardage in the pattern?

Great question, Sarah! When the pattern allows, the Jelly Roll Strips get starched the same way all the other precuts do! This makes sure that everything shrinks at the same rate.
