LakeHouse Dry Goods Quilt Patterns + Giveaway

Ready for more news from It’s Sew Emma?

We were busier than ever for this Spring Quilt Market, not just with our own patterns, but with new patterns from LakeHouse Dry Goods. Starting this Market, we are writing and publishing Holly Holderman’s quilt designs! We are excited to start this venture with LakeHouse Dry Goods as we are huge fans of their fabric. To add some fun, we are giving away three full sets of the five new patterns, so be sure to enter the giveaway at the end of this post!

Check out the brand new covers and sweet quilts! All of these patterns feature Holly’s upcoming fabric, Sweet Things.

Snow White is a fun way to combine the Sweet Things panel and vibrant sampler print. Fussycut squares and simple sashing create a pretty-as-a-picture lap quilt.

Right on trend, Modern Butterfly is an adorable take on a pinwheel-butterfly block. Pair colors to create tonal blocks, accented with ric rac antennae. It’s a great project for quilters who enjoy extra embellishments!

Pennants – at the risk of playing favorites, this is our top pick of the bunch! Fun banner rows, sorted by color, are separated by an assortment of ric rac and sashing. The template is included. Pennants creates a small lap quilt, but try making just one row for a punchy wall hanging too!

The Perfect Pillowcase is a piece-of-cake, easy pattern you will turn to time and again. Just three prints create a bright pillowcase, unless you add in the cute cupcake applique. The cupcake template is included, so you’re not limited to just adding it to the pillowcase. Wouldn’t it be fun on a hot pad or cloth napkins?

Polka Dots & Potluck rounds out the bunch with quick quilt you will be inspired to make over and over again. It is LakeHouse Dry Goods’ first pattern for precuts, to boot. This quilt is nearly twin-sized, so you can decorate bedrooms as well! Use a combination of 10” squares and 5” squares, or 35 fat quarters for the blocks. We love it!

These patterns are available through It’s Sew Emma and Checker, and shop owners can contact us for more information!

For a chance to win a set of all five LakeHouse Dry Goods Patterns, comment below letting us know which is your favorite and why. Three winners will be chosen a week from today, 5/29/2013. Good luck!

  1. I love Snow White! I've been searching for a pattern to make a quilt for my sister. She has helped me so much in the past few years and I want to show my love and appreciation. This one is perfect for her! Thank you for the chance.

  2. Thanks to the whole Its Sew Emma team for making it all happen for Spring Quilt Market. I was so thrilled to finally, after almost ten years of designing hundreds of new fabrics & coordinating patterns to have such a KNOWLEDGEABLE team to help me bring GREAT QUALITY project patterns to fellow quilt lovers all over the world!

I was thrilled to show the new format at Portland: mini booklet style, centered-stapled…as in "no lost pages" & the step-by-step, full color illustrated pages…since a picture is worth a thousand words…

    YIPPEE! I AM SO HAPPY!

A thousand thank you's to all of the IES team.

As soon as I catch up on my sleep, I'll be blogging about Portland Market & my little road trip with Pam Kitty…

    hugs,

    H2

When I was a little girl, mom knew how much I loved butterfly's & had bought me the most beautiful bedding set with matching wallpaper & curtains & surprised me one day when I came home from school to see my room redone. That was back in the seventies, & I'll always remember what a joy my childhood was due to having a very special mother!

  96. I had so much fun watching your posts over Facebook from Quilt Market, and Polka Dots & Potluck immediately caught my attention! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the prairie point border, and I love the way the blocks just POP! The fact that it is made from pre-cuts melts my heart, because I am having a blast using pre-cuts these days! Pre-cuts give me the ability to create so many wonderful projects in much less time, and that's important to me since I work both a full-time and a part-time job. Pre-cuts give me the ability to still create, even in a hectic, busy lifestyle, and patterns like Polka Dots & Potluck give my world lots of HAPPY! 🙂

  97. Polka Dots & Potluck is my favorite because I think it would work well with several different lines of fabric and showcase the prints well. Thanks for the chance to win!
