We love quilts! But when quilting techniques can be used to make a bag, we are all in. We are extremely excited to present the Jolly Braid Tote Bag! A bag that is so versatile it can be used for holding quilting materials, picnics and everyday use. This bag is particularly appealing because of its signature braided look that looks intricate but is actually easy to do!
We took our own spin on the Jolly Braid Tote Bag and used Farmer’s Daughter by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics. The awesome thing about using this collection to make the Jolly Braid Tote Bag is that you can get two completely different looking bags with one Farmer’s Daughter Jolly Bar!
This collection is gorgeous and features a Fat Quarter Shop exclusive Farmer’s Daughter Stash Pack! 6 Bella solids and 5 Aurifil threads that go perfectly with the Farmer’s Daughter collection.
We were able to achieve the braided look that runs down the middle of the bag using the Fat Jelly Braid by Triangles on a Roll, which we will be showing you how to use in the video tutorial.
