If you love quilting tools that save time and are easy to use you’ll love the Stripology Ruler by Creative Grids! This ruler is a total game changer, quilting friends – you’ll use it again and again!
You’ll reduce your rotary cutting time by up to 75% with this Stripology Ruler! Cut your full width fabric and fat quarters into the most popular pre-cuts on the market – 1 ½” & 2 ½” strips; 5″ & 10″ squares. You can also cut 2 1/2″ strips of fabric for binding SO quickly and easily! Originally designed by the oh-so-clever Gundrun Erla of G.E. Designs to use with her well-known tongue-in-cheek line of “strip” patterns, this ruler has so many other uses.

Is there a difference between this one and the June Tailor version called, "Quarter Cut" from JoAnn Fabrics? I do like that this one has those stars and squares for quick sight of where to cut.
Hi Quilt Hollow,
Great question! A customer responded to this on our YouTube video and shared that though the two rulers are similar she prefers the Stripology ruler because it's sturdier, has better markings, and doesn't slide around the way the other ruler does. We hope that helps! 🙂

I bought this ruler over a year ago and I can't tell you how often I have used it! I think you should also show how you can cut such variety of precuts our of a fat quarter. That is what the lady at the quilt show demonstrated and that sold them out of rulers immediately, me included in buyers. To get 10" sq, 5" sq, and 2 1/2" strips all out of one fat quarter is AMAZING! You can use it for so much more than strips. And it is way sturdier and will last longer than the JoAnn's version! I had other friends purchase it after I showed it to them and told them about the fat quarter precuts!
I just ordered this last night! Can't wait to get it. I'm going to make the Scrappy Irish Chain quilt with Summerfest (I think it's on the Moda site) in a larger size and need to cut about 83775 2.5" squares. 🙂
Love this ruler. gotta have it
I'm stingy when it comes to buying another new tool for myself. But after seeing Gudrun demo this, just like Sherri does, I bought one. Holy Hannah does it save time. And because it's Creative Grids, it has that no slide stuff on the back, so it takes very little pressure to keep the ruler in place while cutting. Fast, accurate cuts-totally worth it as a time saver.
