Happy Mother's Day to you too! I learned to sew from my mom and my grandma! These wonderful ladies started early showing me the love of fabric! In the past I have made my clothes from the skin out and now enjoy making quilts. They do not have to fit!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Fat Quarter Shop Moms! My mother has been a literal "garden" of creativity and inspiration to me and my siblings our whole life. For Mother's Day I embroidered the lyrics to a song my brother wrote for her about her garden. I then quilted floral patches around the edges. She was so touched she cried! It is because of her beautiful and creative talents that we have learned to show our love in such authentic and creative ways! Thanks for allowing us to share our stories about our mom!
Happy (belated) Mother's day to you all too!! My Mom sat me on her lap when I was Kindergarten age and helped me sew a simple draw-string bag. It's a faint memory, but I love it! And she wasn't much of a sewer, so I didn't learn much more from her, but she was an angel. She's been gone 20 years ago now, but I will always adore her!!
