  14. I have seen this collection and thought it was just adorable. Yes, it brought back many memories from when my children were small. It's called Bear Country by the Berenstain Bears. I might be wroing, but I believe I read that Jan Berenstain had recently passed away. Fortunately, her wonderful books will always keep her name alive.

  19. Yes, I found it! It is Welcome to Bear Country. It really takes me back quite a few years ago. I loved (and sometimes still do) reading Winny the Pooh and The wind in the willows. This collection reminds me of those wonderful stories and paintings.

  30. Welcome to Bear Country by Berenstain Bears for Moda Fabrics.
    I love the plaids and polka dots that match Papa and Mama Bear's outfits! I loved that series as a kid, and they did such a great job with the fabric designs.

    My kids had a LOT of the Berenstain books. "The Spooky Old Tree" was one of their favorites. I almost have it memorized from reading it so often!

    Did you know that the author, Jan Berenstain just passed away at the end of February? She was 88. (Her husband Stan passed away in 2005) What a wonderful legacy they've left!

  57. You'll have a large group to pull from…everyone recognizes the Welcome to Bear Country, by The Berenstains (Moda). My son is 9 and still asked for this – this and Little Critter books were his favorite book series for a long time. I wish someone would make that line into a fabric line!!   68. Welcome to Bear Country. When those books first came out, I was very skeptical about them…I hated the artwork and thought they would be ho hum. Well, nothing of the sort! My kids loved them! I started reading them at least 25 yrs ago??? My kids are all grown now and we are now reading them to the next generation…they have such good morals to the stories.
