Fall Quilt Market 2015: Sunday - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

Fall Quilt Market 2015: Sunday

It’s our last day of Quilt Market, and we struggled to squeeze in some last sights before heading out.  We would have stayed until tomorrow, but we have Houston Quilt Festival to prepare for, so we’ll be back in less than 48 hours!  We walked the whole show to make sure we didn’t miss anything and tried to visit all of our quilty friends.  Thank you for another amazing Quilt Market, Houston!

Scissors, patterns, threads, oh my! The United Notions booth has all kinds of quilty goodies!  I spy the All in a Row book by the Moda designer team and Teach Me to Sew Triangles book by Pat Sloan.
Kimberly and Joanna showing off our Crossroads Quilt Along quilt! This quilt along benefiting March of Dimes begins February 2016, and you can reserve your quilt kit and backing set.
Explore Kate Spain’s wonderful garden in her new collection for Moda Fabrics, Aria
Get ready for playtime before bed with the Cat’s Pyjamas collection by Jodie Carleton for Ella Blue Fabrics
Bring out your inner Cat Lady with Sarah Watts’ new collection for Cotton + Steel.
Yes, even elephants look adorable in Laundry Basket Quilts’ fabric!  Her upcoming collection is Southern Exposure and we are excited to bring it to our shop.
In Elizabeth Hartman‘s world, all animals get along quite nicely.  We have her new patterns coming soon, and her fabric Rhoda Ruth is almost here.  I guess the Sasquatch isn’t as elusive as we had previously thought!
We got to show off some Fat Quarter Baby quilts and the It’s a Boy and Girl thread sets at the Checker booth, as well as the Cozy Cottage quilt our very own Codi made!
The dynamic duo does it again! Me and My Sister Designs’ Grow collection bursts with the brights we love, and you can’t look away from their new patterns!
One part floral, one part plaid, and a generous toss of sugar and spice!  Prairie Grass’s Summer Fest collection by April Rosenthal is a gateway to sunny holidays and carefree festivity.
Heather Ross fans, listen up!  She is bringing back her Mendocino collection for Windham Fabrics!
Not sure what to do with ombre?  Don’t worry, Vanessa Christenson has LOTS of ideas.  We are all about playing with colors and shades in V & Co’s Ombre collection
We flocked to Sarah Jane’s booth at Michael Miller Fabrics with a chorus of ‘awwww’!  Sarah Jane’s new Sommer collection is everything sweet and lovable about childhood.
Perennial favorite Darlene Zimmerman revs up the feedsack charm with chickens, barn cats and other farm friends in Morningside Farm for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.
Fleet & Flourish collection by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics is spiced with cool autumn tones.
It’s a Boy!  It’s a Girl!  It’s our Fat Quarter Baby coordinating thread boxes
We can’t forget about Miss Scarlet by Minick & Simpson; these are ravishing reds we can’t wait to get our hands on!

Now it’s time for our last Quilt Market giveaway. We are giving away a Vintage Picnic by Bonnie & Camille Fat Quarter Bundle and a Little Miss Sunshine by Lella Boutique Fat Quarter Bundle to two lucky winners. 2. I liked the picture of Kimberly and Kim Diehl. The quilts behind Kim look just delicious!! I don't know how to add a link to the Instagram picture.

  3. Oh No!! All the new collections are simply marvelous (dawling!). I just have to have so many of those collections – they're begging me to bring them home! Does that happen to anyone else?

  4. I love the cat's pajamas! I so wish I could go to the festival, but we moved away from Houston in April! Thanks for letting me see some of the new fabrics!

  5. I am in LOVE with Fig Tree's Strawberry Fields Revisited. YAY! Soooo very happy it is being released again. Unfortunately, I don't know how to attach the photo (I am seriously computer challenged and I'm just happy I figured out how to leave a comment with the Raffotercopter)! The photo is of Joanna's booth and Eric is also in the picture (sorry!!!).

  7. I do not do instagram so am not eligible for the win but one cannot go wrong with anything Elizabeth Hartman does – pattern and fabric!

  8. My favorites were any that showed Bonnie and Camille! It was Camille's blog that got me hooked on quilting and of course I love all of their fabric!

  9. Loved seeing every photo, if I had to pick one it would be Bonnie and Camille, but really you do such an amazing job to share with us it's too hard to single out one.

    See y'all at QF!!

  20. Actually, I have two favorites that rank equally. One is Laundry Basket Quilt's Elephant quilt page and Elizabeth Hartman's Animals are Friendly quilt picture. Hope having two doesn't disqualify me.

  21. I loved looking at all the amazing new fabrics, but I was real excited to see Sweetwater's new blavk and white

  22. It was a little tough choosing just one favorite, but I think that my favorite quilt is the Laundry Basket Elephant one, so I will say that is my favorite photo! Thank you for sharing with us all the beautiful fabrics coming soon.

  23. I love all the photos and captions of your Quilt Market booths! It's the next best thing to being there. I liked the Darlene Zimmerman with her new fabric line. I've used her fabrics and books for years!

  24. Sorry am not sure how to leave a link. Anyway I have enjoyed your posts from Market and love the tea set pic on instagram….also the Vintage Picnic with the cute little cross stitch, loved the pic of the Crossroads quilt which I am really looking forward to making. Thanks!

  25. I loved all the photos but if I have to pick, I would pick the video of you and Joanna with the Crossroads Quilt. And as I am electronically challenged, I will include the hash tag links, cause I don't know how to do an entire link…lol. it is #crossroadsquiltalong@figtreeandco@marchofdimes#quiltmarket#fqsfun#showmethemoda#strawberryfieldsrevisited. I hope that works. Really looking forward to the Quilt along. Have my kit reserved!

  26. The one with Sasquatch in it, is my favorite. I can't really tell you why, but it caught my eye. Think it would be a fun quilt to make for a manly man.

  27. I know the contest is over, meh, I am always late for that stuff, I am a new gramma and taking care of my parents both 92, so my spare time is sewing.
Anyway, where can I find the patterns for those kitty stuffy dolls? I want to make them so much. I love dolls and Might even share with my new grand daughter 😀
