Good day mates! We’re debuting a fun tutorial on English Paper Piecing featuring the fabulous Jen Kingwell from Australia.
So what exactly is English Paper Piecing (EPP)? It is technique of stabilizing fabric using a paper template. It’s different from regular paper piecing because each piece is finished before sewing them together. It’s also a great method to learn as a quilter since with English Paper Piecing you can achieve great precision in piecing.
Being a complete newbie, Kimberly was hesitant to try EPP at first, but with Jen’s help, she managed to sew up her own creations! you can watch her learn all about EPP right here in this video.
We know you’re anxious to get started! So watch Jen’s video tutorial, visit our EPP Notions page, and grab our EXCLUSIVE English Paper Piecing kit so you can sew along (and yes, the cute scissors bag is included!).

Enjoy paper piecing and the video was helpful….thanks.
Great video… makes me want to try this technique again now that I have learned the tips!
Totally loving Jen Kingwell … everything she teaches is wonderful! Please bring her back often!!!
Hmmm I've never tried epp but maybe it's time. I've got a baby due any day now and it might be a way for me to keep sewing without sitting at my machine.
Love the great kit and the tutorial! Kimberly's blocks are fabulous!
I love EPP! Great video for newbies! — and finally someone else who does 20 or more tiny stitches per inch–it's so sturdy and is not going to come out. Kimberly, your sample blocks are sweet!

What line of fabric did you use in the FB posting? thanks
I followed Kimberley making these on Instagram. Absolutely loved what she did. I do have a question, are you able to make the chubby dresdens from a mini charm pack? I have the perfect fabric.
@Kath Hi! Yes, the chubby dresden template fits a mini charm pack.
Thank you for the reply. Now I just must get the wee kit you have put together ! Good for winter days that will be coming up
