Designer Select: Tula Pink

The Fat Quarter Shop and Tula Pink have teamed up to present you with a Fat Quarter Shop Exclusive! Tula Pink has specially selected 12 prints from her Prince Charming collection along with 3 coordinating Free Spirit Designer Solids for this special bundle you will only find at the Fat Quarter Shop.

Q: What inspired you to pick the colors and designs in your Designer Select Fat Quarter Bundle?

A: I chose these designs and colors because they remind me of a warm spring rain. The day I made the selections was the first rain of the season, a light sprinkle and the first spot of sun after a long winter. It was the perfect palette for the day.

Q: What are 3 Words you would choose to describe this collection?

A:
1. Fresh
2. Electric
3. Playful

Q: “2 Truths and a Lie”

A:
1. I own 43 pairs of hi-top converse sneakers
2. When I was five, I had two goldfish named Abraham and Lincoln
3. I collect vintage records that heavily feature the banjo

One of the 3 statements is false. Comment on this post telling me which statement you think is false.  Answer correctly and you have a chance to win Tula Pink’s Designer Select Fat Quarter Bundle

  1. I am going with #2 only because I think you would be hard pressed to find a 5 year old who is familiar enough with Abraham Lincoln to name her pet goldfish after him.
    I hope I am right!
    *fingers crossed*
    🙂

  2. Even though my select bundle is on the way. Two bundles means double the fun!

I guess vinyl heavily featuring banjo. While both vinyl and banjo are lovely – moderation is the key 😉

  3. I am going to guess #3 (collect vintage records that heavily feature the banjo). I love the colors she chose for this bundle.

  4. Well, my first thought was #1, but I'll go out on a limb here & choose #3 instead-I don't know Tula, but I don't see her as a banjo type of gal!

  5. Oh my word this is tough. I'm torn between all three answers.

43 pairs seems like a lot, but I suppose if you love converse it's not impossible.

However, I'm going to say number 1.

  6. Does it count for anything that I'm 95% confident #1 is true? (I know she has a ton of Cons, just not sure if it's 43.) So I guess I'm going to guess….#2. No, #3. No wait…#2. *sigh*. Okay okay, #2.

  7. Well, I hope it's number 3 anyway, but that's my personal taste… Banjo isn't that good ;o)
Anyone with love for shoes can have 43 pair so if that's the case, lucky her =D

  8. Considering she sewed herself a Christmas stocking like a Converse all star hi-top, and my son was all into Lincoln when he was 5 also, I'm thinking it's #3. Really, 43 pairs is not that many if you love the shoe(s).

Love the fabrics and thanks for the chance to win!

  9. #1 I'm voting for #1

Thanks for the chance to win! I have so many things I want to do with this fabric and so many people excited to get presents from me because this came out!

    Cheryl!

  10. Hmmm, I would have to say number 3. Now I am off to count how many high-top converse I own….

  11. I bet #3 is false. Thanks for the chance for the giveaway. I love the fabric colors and designs!!! Oh the things I could make with it! #1 would be a beautiful purse!

  12. #3 is false! One can never have too many pairs of converse, I bet between me and my 2 kids (5 and 3) we've got going on that many pairs..lol! Also…Abraham and Lincoln are not that far off for a 5 yr old's fish names, my 5 yr old has a duck named Marmaduke right now!!! but banjo…no way!

  13. I think statement 3 is false. Doesn't everyone wear converse and name their goldfish after dead presidents? Gotta be 3.

  14. totally a guess, but I'm thinking #3. I think Tula was awesome enough at 5 yrs old to have fish named Abraham and Lincoln!

  15. hmmm…i know tula's a converse collector, so this could be true….i'd say #2?????
(please, please, please let this be the lie…!!!)

  16. I have to say number three, because (while the other two are interesting) number three just seems outrageous! But then, I did think that might exactly be why it's true, right? Oh, well, I am gonna have to stick with my first impression. lol

  17. I am thinking, number 1 is false.
I am a sneaker person, but can't imagine having that many and all high tops, lol.

I just love that frog, he is so cute.

    Debbie

  18. Too funny! I am guessing #1 is false – just because of storage issues. But if you do – wow! Tell me how you sort/find the right ones!!! I am impressed!

  19. I think #3 is False. Vintage Banjo records?? Really?? Although interesting I had a goldfish I won at the school carnival when I was little and I named it Abraham Lincoln. Crazy!!

  20. I am going to go with #3. I think she would rather collect fabric than vintage records. At least, I would! 🙂

  21. I'll go with #1 the shoes…by the way the fabric looks wonderful.
    Raw from Plymouth

  22. My guess is #1 is false. Maybe a dozen, but 43 pairs? Not that I should talk – I think I have 12 different pairs of red shoes. 🙂

  23. It's #3 right? I can see that closet now. Though I wouldn't be surprised to find you have a secret yearning for banjo music – but vintage records with banjo music? I don't know… Oh and I can totally see you with thos egoldfish.

  24. #1. That is a lot of shoes of any kind but 43 high tops? yikes! they are all interesting and I'm waiting to hear the answer!

  25. I know she loves converse sneakers and has quite the extensive collection of them so #1 is probably true. Between #2 and #3, #3 is probably more unlikely, I mean how many vintage records could actually feature the banjo? I'm going with #3! Thanks for the chance to win! LOVE the new collection from Tula Pink!

  26. I'll go with the 43 high-top Converse sneakers. Against my better judgement, I might add. I'm pretty sure my daughter has at least that many pairs in various colours.

  27. No. 1! 43 just doesn't seem like quite enough for someone who rocks them like you do! 🙂

  28. Seem I am a shoe freak I can see someone else being also. I think it is number 3. That fat quarter pack is yummy. Hope I win!

  29. I'm going with #1 being false. No one could have that many shoes, could they? Especially sneakers?

  30. You are so totally hip that I can picture both the high tops and the vinyls … so I have to go with #2 as being the whopper … Sorry Abraham and Lincoln! Thanks for this chance!!

  31. I think #2 is false. I love converse and have a son who plays the banjo and is "into" old time music. I know there is alot of banjo vinyl out there. The music is contagious!

  32. My guess would be no. 3.
    Great fabrics and lovely colours.
    Have a nice day,
    Ineke Platvoet from Holland

  33. It's a tricky one…..I believe statement #2 is false, but so cute at the same time!

  34. All 3 sound feasible – 43 pairs of Connies – okay, pets called Abraham & Lincoln ok – banjo music – Steve martin plays the banjo. Which one – I think number 2 may be false.

  35. I know there has to be at least 43 pairs of sneakers…. However, I'm doubting the banjo stuff so I'm going to go with 3 for the lie.

Love the fabrics chosen for this pack, just gorgeous and I so badly want them! =)

  36. I think #3 is false. Thank you for this fun chance to win these beautiful fabrics. Take care and God bless, Cory

  37. Pretty fabrics. My guess is #3 (vintage records with lots of banjo). Thanks for the opportunity to win.
    Mary

  38. I have been a fan of Tula Pink for some time — love her fabrics! My guess would be No. 3 — she doesn't strike me as a banjo type person.

  39. I'm guessing it's number 2. I can see you with all the sneakers and vintage banjo seems like it might be fun…
Love the fabrics and their colors!

  40. I think 3 is false. The bundle is so exciting for anyone collecting vintage records?
Love it for my new quilt I am working on…
    Kate

  41. Wow, this is tough! I own way too many shoes myself, so I'm not going to go with #1, and #2 sounds pretty believeable too. I'm putting my vote on #3 – I think (hope!) that one is false!

  42. I going to say #3. She looks like a Converse kinda girl, and what 5 year old wouldn't have 2 goldfish named Abraham and Lincoln? LOL

  43. I'm guessing #2 is False; although it is cute names for two goldfish. Love the Fat Quarter Bundle and it does remind one of spring rain.

  44. I'm thinking # 2. By the way, you can never have enough shoes!!! Love the new fabric line. Thanks for the fun game!

  45. Wow, hard choice! I'm going to say #3 is false. My first instinct was to say it was #1. I know she has a ton of Cons but I think the amount is off. Man I hope I'm right because I really, really want that bundle!=)

  46. I'm not sure where she was born but unless it was in IL where we learned about Abraham Lincoln very early, I doubt a child would name her fish with those names. Because of that, I am going to guess that number 2 is the false statement.

Crossing my fingers. I LOVE this fabric and would be thrilled to win this.

  47. I'm thinking #2 is wrong because I think she is clearly a sneaker gal and likes the guitar (which is pretty close to banjo, maybe)! Regardless, this line is divine.

  48. Mmmm well I know Tula was once into music so maybe the records part is true.Do converse sneakers come in that many ranges ( I wouldn't know I'm from Australia)So I guess the the goldfish story is false #2. I think Tula had goldfish but they had other names.

  49. Love the colors different then I've purchased but would love to make something out of them. #3 is false

  50. the last comment #278 was from me, I entered in something wrong..my choice is still #3

  51. I'm going to guess #3. I think it's partially true, and that it's the banjo that makes it false. Thanks for the chance to win! Love these colors!

  52. I'm betting on #3. I LOVE Tula Pink! Thanks for the opportunity!

  53. I am a new follower and would love the beautiful fabric that you are giving away!

  54. I'm going to guess #1. I can see the fish thing and if you own more than one of anything it's a collection so 2 records counts but 43 high tops makes me wonder. I'd believe any lie if it came wrapped in fancy new fabric though so what do I know ;).

  55. I've got to do this while Blogger is still working. Oh, I don't want to guess wrong…which one is it? I really think maybe #1 is false. I know she loves Converse sneakers, and owns a lot of them, but maybe they are not all high-tops, or she probably owns more than 43 pairs. Love you, Tula!

  56. Man… I really hope #3 is false because that's what I'm going with.
I'm a Converse collector and I have quite a few colors. And I just want #2 to be true because it's just so cute.

  57. Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? I'll guess that #1 is false; I mean, who doesn't love the banjo?

  58. I'm going to guess that #3 is the lie… or is it… gah! I have no idea, but I'm sticking to #3!

  59. I think it is #2. The fabric is wonderful. I like the idea of rain. I live in Texas and we are having a drought.

  60. I know it's been a really long time since this was posted, but can you tell me what colors those solids are please?
