Hello happy quilters! Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts is back on the Jolly Jabber to show us some tips and tricks when using fusible applique. If you’re new to applique, like Kimberly, these tutorials are so helpful.
First, Edyta shows us how to use stencils to draw applique shapes. Quilting stencils make tracing foolproof, especially when you’re creating multiple blocks. Watch as Edyta show us her step-by-step process
Next, we are going to prepare our block for fusible applique. In this video, she has chosen to use her Dancing Umbrella stencil to show us a step-step process from tracing to fusing.
When you’re all done fusing your applique, it’s time to stitch them into place. In this video, Edyta will show you various ways to stitch your applique.
Thank you so much for joining us on the Jolly Jabber! If you want to receive our videos as soon as they’re out, subscribe to our YouTube channel!

Thank you so much for hosting Edyta and posting all of her videos. She is an amazing teacher, and the techniques she has taught terrific! Can't wait to use them.
Thanks for these videos. Just wondered what the name/make of the iron is. She never said.
Great video – very helpful and Edyta has some wonderful tips/techniques! Oh, yes, what kind of iron was used? Thank you!
I really enjoyed these videos! I'm a new quilter and haven't tried any applique yet, so I'm tucking this away in my memory for using later. I appreciate the clear directions, and how cute is that umbrella quilt!?
Love the videos. Did anyone find out the brand of the iron? I like the base on it too, looks very stable. I want to make that Umbrella quilt – too cute!

Hi Rebecca!
the Iron that Edyta used is the T-fal FV4476 Ultraglide Easycord Auto-Off Steam Iron. Here is a link to it: http://amzn.to/1jugB6n
