Classic & Vintage featuring the Single Wedding Ring Quilt Pattern

Hello everyone! It’s time for our first Classic & Vintage Quilt of 2015. If you’re unfamiliar with our Classic & Vintage series, we take classic, traditional blocks and make it fresh for today.

When we think of traditional blocks, one of our all time favorites is the double wedding ring block. For our series (and to avoid that darned curved piecing!) we decided to tackle the Single Wedding Ring quilt block instead.. Kimberly thought that the Whitewashed Cottage collection by 3 Sisters for Moda Fabrics would be the perfect pairing with its soft, muted colors.

Our complete Single Wedding Ring quilt pattern is available in PDF form for purchase at out shop. This pattern includes crib, lap, twin & queen sizes. And we also created a Single Wedding Ring Quilt Kit so that you can sew our version!

We know that you’re anxious to start sewing! So start by downloading our FREE block pattern and watch Kimberly’s Single Wedding Ring tutorial for a step-by-step guide on piecing your block.

  1. The block is adorable.

I would love to take part in maybe the Churn Dash, the old fashioned pieced turtle, Overall Bill (appliqued), old time Strawberry (appliqued), I know I can think of some others.

I also have my grandmothers vintage Umbrella doll quilt pattern. Would be willing to share it with you for a blog hop, if you are interested. 🙂

I also thank you for allowing us to join these hops… we smaller bloggers love to be included. 🙂

  2. Heloo Kimberly,

Firstly I want to say I looked at everyone own version of the wedding ring block and yours was my favorite. Also I want to also thank you or your team for recently showing me how to find a quilt designer and pattern from the fat quarters shop. The Designer was Jill Finley and the pattern was Serenity. I was able to actually get the pattern sent to me so thank you very much to everyone please. Julie Beard Adelaide, South Australia (julie714@adam.com.au)
