Transform Stitches into Stars: Introducing Stitchy Stars by Lori Holt

Lori Holt of Bee In My Bonnet has launched a new cross stitch pattern that captures the true spirit of the 4th of July! This dazzling row of quilt-inspired stars looks amazing in red, white, pink, and blue! Read more below to learn more about the different fabric combinations you can use to sew up your Stitchy Stars.

This radiant Stitchy Stars sampler was sewn up and finished by Lori Holt of Bee In My Bonnet! Lori stitched her stars on the mottled side of the Oatmeal 25 Count Lugana. She stitched over two threads using two strands of Weeks Dye Works and finished her piece on an 18” Whitewashed Wood Rectangle Plaque by ArtMinds from Michaels.

The Stitchy Stars Cross Stitch Pattern comes with a supply list, diagrams, full-color instructions, and a list of suggested DMC and Weeks Dye Works colors.

A Note on Fabric Size:

After the pattern was designed, we noticed that if you use a precut package of Oatmeal Vintage cloth from your stash, or buy a smaller size cloth, the pattern fits a little bit tighter than expected, leaving less room to frame your piece. To help you cut fabric for your Stitchy Stars, we have provided you with a helpful chart below. Lori Holt’s pre-packaged 10 count Oatmeal Vintage Cloth is not large enough for seven stars across, but you have the option of stitching two rows of three stars from the pattern to make it all fit!
