We’re celebrating our quilting community with a free block of the week quilt along called the Sewcialites Quilt Along. We’ve joined forces with 18 talented designers to bring you a free 38-week quilt along with amazing sampler blocks and sew many options! This week’s designer, Bonnie Olaveson is an expert quilter, author, and half of the mother-daughter duo Bonnie & Camille for Moda Fabrics. Bonnie designed the Kindred block as an intermediate-level block that gives beginners a little bit of a challenge. Don’t worry, you can watch Kimberly’s video tutorial on YouTube for some tips on putting it together.
Bonnie sewed a 9″ block from her collection Shine On by Bonnie & Camille for Moda Fabrics. Visit Bonnie’s Instagram and Facebook Page for more details about her block, sewing process and her fabrics. Her floral fabric choice looks lovely on the Kindred block. So pretty!

Kimberly is sewing with the Homestead collection by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics. She made her blocks in all three sizes for a fun challenge.

Who won the first give-away? Is it posted somewhere? Also, I’m having trouble with tagging @fatquartershop. Can you explain how to do that?
