Farm Girl Chicken Quilt

Someone’s been sitting on a fun surprise for Farm Girl Vintage lovers, and we’re hatching it today!

Roosters and mama hens and little chicks, oh my! It’s the Farm Girl Chicken Quilt by Lori Holt!

Thanks to a free, Farm Fresh Eggs Block pattern, you can make this quilt come to life. It uses four blocks – Farm Fresh Eggs, Rise and Shine Rooster, Baby Chick, and Mama Hen.

Like October Skies and Beekeeper’s Garden, this quilt uses the same setting as the Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sampler Quilt (found on pages 138-43 of Lori Holt’s Farm Girl Vintage 2 book). You simply combine 6″ and 12″ blocks to make this quilt. It finishes at 88.5″ x 95.5″.

What do you need?

Download the FREE Farm Fresh Eggs Block. You’ll need your Farm Girl Vintage 2 book and the Farm Girl Vintage book, too. Baby Chick and Mama Hen Blocks are in the first book, while Farm Girl Vintage 2 has the Rise and Shine Rooster Block.  Use the setting instructions for the Sampler Quilt found on pages 138-43 of the Farm Girl Vintage 2 book.

Keep up with the Farm Girl Vintage 2 Quilt Along!

If you love Farm Girl Vintage you will love this Quilt Along. We are sewing all of the 45 Farm Girl blocks from the book, and every Friday, we’re sharing two blocks on our Facebook and Instagram feeds, going right down the list in the book. We hope you’ll join us in sewing along and sharing your blocks with the hashtag #FarmGirlFridays, too! Choose from the 6″ or the 12″ block options to use in any of the Mix & Match or Farm Girl quilt options, also your choice!
