New Patterns from It’s Sew Emma, Part 1

Hi everyone!  We have somehow slipped into September, which means two things for us… 1) Our Cake Mix Quilt Book is coming! (read about it here) and 2) we have new patterns out!  There are eight new patterns total, but today we’ll cover these four – Trifles, Rose Quarter, Dapper and Set Sail.

First up is Trifles.  You cannot go wrong with this pattern, and it truly is a classic!  It uses Jelly Roll strips, and whether you use a bold collection like Bloomsbury or a softer line like La Conner, it always works into something beautiful.  Trifles offers Crib, Lap, Twin and Queen size options.

Rose Quarter is a pretty little thing with an old-fashioned feel, which makes it well-suited for First Romance, but you can also give it a modern edge with vivid hues like Spirit Animal.  You can either use the included templates or the Impressions Orange Peel template set to create these sweet blocks.  There is a neat twist to it, if you are using the Orange Peel template set, but you’ll have to see for yourself what it is!  Rose Quarter offers Crib, Lap and Queen size options.

Dapper is punchy and playful, easy and exciting!  We love the secondary designs you get from the background as well.  Choose fabrics with strong contrast, like Biscuits & Gravy or Shimmer On, for best effect.  Dapper offers Crib, Lap, Twin and Queen size options, and it’s Fat Quarter Friendly too!

Lastly, Set Sail takes us on a voyage of discovery.  Simple blocks become cresting ocean waves, and as you can see, different color palettes make all the difference!  A monochrome set like Ahoy Me Hearties creates a calm, geometric masterpiece, while bright tropical tones like Reef paint an entirely different picture!
