  1. Arrived just in time for Christmas. A lovely box of goodies. I love the thread and the 30's fabric! I look forward to each and every box. Bring on January!!!

  2. Hubba hubba! You shipped on Tuesday I received my quilt candy on Thursday. As an employee with USPS, I wanted to thank you for using Priority Shipping products and services. I just love these goodies you pick us, have to remember to order the recipe cards I missed. If members don't receive their sampler in 5 days, call us at 1-800 ASK-USPS.

  3. I was disappointed that you included magnets. I don't need them for sewing, in fact I have no use for them. I thought these would all pertain to sewing.

  4. This is the second month in a row now that I have been truly disappointed with the contents of the boxes I received. Why on earth do I need magnets for quilting. Not a very practical item in my opinion. With shipping, handling, in addition to the exchange rate I am not willing to pay for such disappointment. Sorry. 🙁

  5. I've been participating since nearly the beginning but this last box convinced me that it's time to cancel. The only thing I might use is one or two od the thread colours.

I think the box is a good value for anyone who likes the sort of countryish fabrics the boxes seems to contain. My home decor is contemporary modern, and I'll just never use most of what I've been sent. I will never in a hundred years use 1930s fabric, and I don't even know anyone who would want the magnets. I tossed them in a Goodwill bag.

I wouldn't mind the odd box that didn't suit my tastes, but a lot of the fabric seems similar to me. i like modern fabrics, low volume prints, sometimes batiks, etc. None of the boxes have really hit the mark for me personally.

For those who will use most of what's in the box, it's good value. I've only used a few things (and none of the fabric or patterns), so it's not good value for me. With shipping and the exchange rate, the box costs over $50 Canadian. That's enough to buy a layer cake , jelly roll or some yardage of fabric I love. I think that makes more sense for me.

I hope those of you who enjoy the box continue to have fun with them.

  6. I took my Sew Sampler Box from the post office today. Very late, I know. The postman did not deliver to one of my kind neighbours as usual but direct to the office while I was on travel. Thanks God it wasn't send back yet!
As for me I loved all of the items in the box. I agree with some of the other comments here concerning the magnets and fabric. Magnets are not one of the items I was awaiting as a quilter but I love the design and can still use it for keeping notes at my fridge. The fabric is not really my favourite but the colours are fine with me, so it is okay. The pattern and templates are great and I will surely give it a try. As for the threads, a bit too dark for me but I can use them nevertheless. So alltogether a good selection, although not my favorite one…

  7. is it just me or does it seem like FQS worships anything and everything lori holt? give me a break. i thought the box of all embroidery was bad, but this is worse.
