Welcome to our final month of the Year of the Fat Quarter Quilt Along! This month, we are featuring the color red in our December 2018 Year of the Fat Quarter Bundle! We’re at the end of the Year of the Fat Quarter Quilt Along however we are continuing the color bundle fun with the Sew Colorful Club, which will begin in January 2019.
We are dedicating 2018 to our favorite little pre-cut, the fat quarter! This is to celebrate our 15th anniversary as a company and because a fat quarter has 18″ x 20″ of usable fabric (too perfect!). Every month, we’ve been featuring one of our wonderful quilters and the project they make with their Year of the Fat Quarter Bundle!

For Pat’s Year of the Fat Quarter project, she used the reds in her December Year of the Fat Quarter Bundle to make her Mending Basket Block Pattern into a finished mini quilt! Her Mending Basket FREE Block Pattern is available for download on her blog post. For the pinks in her piece, she used a mix of stripes and dots from the Essentially Yours collection by Moda Fabrics and her scraps!

The Sew Colorful Club will continue to offer a monthly selection of color-coordinated blenders and basics. PLUS, we’re offering a special Sew Colorful Spools Sampler Quilt designed exclusively for our the Fat Quarter Shop by Corey Yoder. The Spools Quilt cleverly uses different colored spools to showcase fabrics from the entire year. The pattern features 6 different spool blocks that can be mixed and matched as you’d like, and it works wonderfully to use up all of those little bits and pieces of colorful fabrics you may have left over after working on your larger Sew Colorful projects.
